  1. I never want Kris Bryant not having a 3-0 green light Road Bryant tho
  2. dammit it seems like at least 2 of our 2-5 hitters are slumping at any given moment which kills any big innings.
  3. Tim should gift this site to you if you really do drive to Busch and the Cubs come back to win in the 9th inning.
  4. 3 more Hendricks outs from continuing a streak I didn't know and care about until yesterday.
  5. I wish (not directed at you) that people would stop asking and/or expecting Heyward to dong. I know we want everyone to dong, but damn it, Heyward doesn't dong more than like Lindor for the Indians does. And I can't imagine everyone is expecting Lindor to dong when he comes up. Right? Right? It's going to happen 12 times this year, probably. Or like 10 more times than our pitchers combine for. He's gonna hit at least 20 after Mallee finishes reworking his swing.
  6. i know, we should have focused on offense a little more during Theo's big rebuild.
  7. The slumpers keep slumping (except Rizzo)
  8. why the horsefeathers is he swinging at 3-0 down 4 runs and Rizzo on deck?
  9. I like that move.
  10. Daysball has not been very much fun this year. 2-3 if we lose this vs. 9-1 at night
  11. Almost every MLB pitcher will be dealing against any offense when they can hit the corners & get an expanded Kzone. i know that was kind of my point.
  12. OK maybe he will get hit hard today...if things continue this way we might get to break out our vaunted long relievers.
  13. We still have 4 dudes that aren't hitting so being in a hole matters The point is that the Cubs are 11-3 and this is the 2nd inning of a game in April. No need to have reactionary 'its over' posts after falling into a 2 run hole early.
  14. omg that was almost exactly 2015 NLDS Javy HR except it of course fell short
  15. It's crazy how different the offense looks when they face pitchers who can locate on the corners (and umps willing to expand their zone to accommodate)
  16. based on 2 hard hit balls in the first inning?
  17. yeah robbing a 2 run homerun sometimes affects a game When the final score is 13-2 Cubs, the only thing it will affect is Rizzo's batting line.
  18. What deals weren't there? I keep hearing people say this but there were names out there being shopped the Hawks just didn't offer enough to make the deal
  19. I don't have a problem with the moves the made. Plus the price was not right for the defensive depth. Id mortgage the future each and every year Toews and Kane are at their peak. St Louis is playing better, their goalie has above a 95% save percentage. All Hawks playoff series losses since 2009 have been because of one of two reasons. 1. Goalie posts a save percentage of >95% 2. Opposing team has puck possession of >55% I still hold out hope they will win this series, but if they don't tip your cap to them and move on. They might not be as talented next year but an early playoff exit might be a blessing in regards to a long summer of rest See I still don't buy it. If you don't believe the defensive depth was their biggest problem then fine. But I believe it was and if you are going to "mortgage the future" it should have been in that area. And to me the defense has been a major problem. Doesn't really help with save % but certainly does with % puck possession. I don't mind the Ladd trade (even though according to Twitter he's been terrible this series), but giving up Denault for a third liner and a healthy scratch in the playoffs (I realize that wasn't his intended role but Stan keeps getting guys that Q benches, they should be better synced at this point) is a terrible trade in retrospect (and at the time given we didn't address defense)
