5 and 6 games behind us in the loss column. How much do you expect the best team to separate themselves from the second best team over 60 games or so? The Cubs have been 5-5 in their last 10, Nats 8-2 so you are looking at this during a valley. Could just as easily see the Cubs go 8-2 and Nats 5-5 in their next 10

I used to be scared of facing Liriano, and probably still would be despite his shitty numbers if he hadn't tee'd off on him the last time we played. Jake pitches 8 strong, Willson gets a PH double, and Cubs win easily.

I mean, that's a FAR better option to advance, but honest I'd rather see the US play Argentina because Argentina has been undoubtedly the best team in the tournament. Id rather face Mexico in the final than Argentina in the semis but I understand your sentiment.
