Now to pick on you, but just so you know, I'm sure at some point in May you were posting something like this about Anthony Rizzo. So that kinda shows why arbitrary endpoints are stupid, and why people think you are too obsessed with them. No you don't understand, if i put the hashtag its supposed to absolve me of any blowback.

he's a pretty good baseball player. it's amazing, when we traded for him, they said he could end up being an above average but not elite 1B. amazing development work by the org.

Ravech said the Cubs have prospects that can give you what Schwarber can. Maybe not HRs, but better defense maybe more speed. And Chapman throws 105mph and the Yankees shorten games, blah blah blah. Said, "yeah Chapman doens't guarantee you a world series, but neither does Schwarber" Holy [expletive]. Like, how do you not at all factor in control? Five years for two months, and if you think the Cubs are a lock for the playoffs, five years for two weeks. Come on. Because the media seems to believe the Cubs should completely sell out and do everything possible to win the World Series this season, even though they can add Miller, Chapma, Rich Hill, Reddick and Lucroy and probably increase their chances of winning the World Series by like 2%

Montero has only caught 2 of the previous 12 days and is catching 60% of the time at most right now, so I don't think the wear and tear of a single night/day is as big a concern. I think by that he meant 'why do we have to watch Miguel Montero play baseball twice in less than 24 hours'

Ohh I never watch ESPN so I hadn't heard this. Tell me more. Bryant came up and Olney and the idiots in the booth start blabbering about how maybe this moving guys around "has gone too far." Olney even cited an "AL exec" he spoke to who said maybe teams should be like the Royals who had the same lineup everyday last year and won a word series! Whats more impactful: some made up benefit of playing the same position every day and hitting in the same spot or the actual benefit of being able to mix and match and put together a lineup with favorable splits every day as well as the ability to move people around the field in game in order to improve your defensive lineup later in games?

The sharp drop off in play along with the comments about needing extra rest and how gassed he is makes me worried he's going to be making a 'luckiest man' speech in the near future.

Horrible stat of the game: Kris Bryant has come up in 88 double play situations this year before his last AB. He had hit into 1 double play in those situations. All year.
