  1. Actually visiting teams have a slight edge from what I can tell, which is a change from the 52% of the time home teams won with the old rules
  2. This horsefeathers umpire has a 50% chance of calling an outside ball a strike. Hes just guessing
  3. The only good thing that has come from the extra inning rules is calling it the Manfred Man.
  4. Absolutely terrible ABs by Happ and Seiya with Tucker’s beauty in between
  5. Can we PR for Turner? Don’t want to be caught in a GIDP
  6. Just one start, though obviously given his track record he is probably regressing to his career norms.
  7. FWIW Justin Steele's hamstring strain last year was also called a mild Grade 1 strain and he was out 39 days, so roughly 5.5 weeks. Obviously every injury is different and everyone heals differently but 39 days from the date of injury would have him returning June 11.
  8. Kelly hits a home run and commits 2 outs in an inning
  9. Is it just me or does PCA seem to have an uppercut in his swing lately?
  10. It's kind of funny that LaHair had a higher WAR in the year he played 20 games than the year he hit 16 HRs and made the All-Star team. Or that he lost his job to Anthony Rizzo shortly after playing in the All-Star game and played sparingly from then on. Or that he never played another MLB game after his All-Star season. Such a strange but interesting story in Cubs lore.
  11. Here is every career start against the Cubs: 2020: 3 IP, 4 ER, 3 H, 2 BB, 3 K 2021: 5 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 4 BB, 8 K 6 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 2 BB, 10 K 4 IP, 2 ER, 5 H, 1 BB, 7 K 6 IP, 2 ER, 2 H, 4 BB, 8 K 5.1 IP, 2 ER, 5 H, 2 BB, 8 K 2022: 4 IP, 3 ER, 3 H, 4 BB, 6 K 6 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 3 BB, 5 K 6 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 BB, 5 K 2023: 5.1 IP, 3 ER, 4 H, 3 BB, 10 K 2024: 5 IP, 3 ER, 3 H, 6 BB, 5 K 5.2 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 2 BB, 11 K 7 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 2 BB, 8 K 2025: 6 IP, 0 ER, 4 H, 1 BB, 7 K Overall: 14 starts, 2.91 ERA, 4.9 H/9, 1.05 WHIP, 12.2 K/9 -10 of 14 starts allowing 2 ER or less -13 of 14 starts allowing 3 ER or less The one he allowed more than 3 ER was early in his career and an emergency start as he was mostly a reliever that year. Cubs are actually "only" 5-9 when Peralta starts which seems decent considering his overall numbers against him.
  12. In case anyone was worried about Tucker being hurt stealing 2B in the 9th:
  13. Welp left hamstring strain for Shota. Really really testing our pitching depth with our top 2 starters out and not being particularly imposing to begin with.
  14. Yeah it would be difficult to be charged with 4 runs after leaving a game.
