  1. Only 3 and 4? What if they accidentally lose a game and have to clinch in game 5?
  2. [tweet] [/tweet] I'm slow so it took me 3-4 reads before I realized he wasn't accidentally misspelling his name
  3. If anything, that would be encouraged not banned.

  5. Seal boy will definitely make it. Joe has repeatedly hinted he needs his LH bat off the bench.

  7. Today's awesome yet pathetic fact of the day. It is August and the Cubs have 84 wins. Only 12 Cub teams since 1945 have won more than 84 games in an entire season.
  8. Makes sense. Joe didnt want to use Grimm yesterday and did so he's definitely out. So it's really Joes pet Wood or CJ
  9. If we didn't have the Cy Young winner on the mound tonight we'd be saying something like "so it's a hit line drives right at guys game"
  10. Only 1 HR in August though. I think overall he is fine, this is not even close to a slump but perhaps a bit of a power outage. Make that 2
  11. Vikings Twitter is going through the same stages we did with Schwarber and/or Rose. There was a tweet that the injury was called a dislocated knee. Fans started to speculate that he could be back in 6 weeks and then that doctor dude I posted earlier was like "umm guys dislocated knee is the worst case scenario"

  14. this is weird...sounds like he was taken out in an ambulence. I don't think they would do that if it was an ACL tear but what do I know.
  15. Just went through the Pitch f/x data to see how the zone looked last night. For the Pirates pitchers: Strikes called a ball - 3 Balls called a strike - 11 For the Cubs pitchers: Strikes called a ball - 9 Balls called a strike - 4
  16. I believe that the term you're looking for is "eclectic." But seriously, whether happened with this? If he is going to sign, it has to be in the next 24 hours, or he's not eligible for post season rosters. Right? I'm guessing he didn't get as much interest as he thought he was going to get. If I were him I'd beg a contender to sign him to a minor league deal with a 40 man slot just to have the chance to pitch in October.
  17. hah, literally the only photo i could find with him showing the number 19
  18. horsefeathers the Mets and horsefeathers Cespedes but very nice bat flip
  19. http://c7.alamy.com/comp/DJT0YM/mar-22-2010-mesa-arizona-us-22-march-2010-cubs-inf-bobby-scales-19-DJT0YM.jpg Can't forget about Bobby Scales
  20. Pfft, chicks dig the long ball Sobs uncontrollably.. Dont know which hurts more losing Maddux or the early 00's Cubs power pitchers all blowing up. Maddux was obviously the best by far but I have doubts 90s Cubs would have put anything around him anyways. Butterfly effect be dammed Maddux-Wood-Tapani would have been a solid 1-2-3 for that 1998 playoff team
  21. Geez 2nd time in 4 days I've gone to bed with the Cubs losing late and they won. This team..lol
  22. I am going to bed this is horsefeathering ridiculous.
