I can't defend David Price anymore from people who say hes a choker in the postseason. He has a couple of good start but many more bad ones. -
This is the [expletive] reason I love me some Joe Maddon. This is the perfect lineup for this game. Defense will win this game. Doesn't really surprise me one bit. Javy as Jon's personal 3B is almost as locked in as Rossy as his personal C LMAO whoops didnt see he was playing 2nd, this comment is completely wrong

Damn, the Dodgers are able to put 8 lefties in their starting lineup against Scherzer today (including Kershaw). Why is that important? Scherzer OPS against vs. RH: .477 Scherzer OPS against vs. LH: .757 -

It's kind of weird that the Cubs were the first team to clinch the playoffs, but will be the last playoff team to play, with one playoff team already having played 3 games by the time the Cubs step on the field. Heck the Blue Jays will be 2/3rds of the way to the ALCS by the time the Cubs play if their score holds

It's got to be damn near impossible to avoid hearing an update at a big concert in Chicago with today's technology. Yep, I was at a Jason Isbell show last year on the first game of the NLDS. Couldn't take 2 steps without someone telling the score, then the final It didn't help I was wearing a Cubs shirt. I went to Lion King musical with my now wife on a Thursday night where the Bears were playing the Dolphins. This was like 2010ish, smart phones were out there and fairly common but not like today. During intermission, I put headphones on to avoid accidentally overhearing someone checking their phones and discussing the game. My wife was mortified at how ridiculous I was being, but I was taping the damn game and wanted to watch it. On the way home, my wife put on the country station and I figured it was relatively safe. About 3 minutes from home, the DJ came on in between songs and said "Hope you enjoyed your Thursday night and Go Bears! Big win tonight over the Dolphins". SOB, SO CLOSE! Anyways I then vowed never to attempt to avoid a sports result when I cant watch live.

Feel bad for Szczur, on the roster all year but not on the playoff roster (for the NLDS at least). Obviously Almora is a defensive upgrade over Szczur, but I think Almora's strong hitting after September callups (.310/.355/.552/.907 in admittedly small 31 PA sample size) combined with Scissors struggles since mid-august (.136/.190/.169/.360 in 61 PA) clinched the spot for him.

I glanced at that last night, figured I didn't read it right. Guess I did. same, I almost went back to view it again but I figured there was no way it said what I thought it did. What was the graphic actually trying to say? I would guess "First Rookie OF" but that doesn't sound like a very interesting fact. -
If anyone cares, Levine is saying the Cubs will release their NLDS roster at 10, so an hour from now.
