  1. and before tonight he was 1-15 against Jake Yeah he's locked in right now. Going to be a scary AB
  2. again as I mentioned, Posey destroys chapman and if Rondon gets through the 8th unscathed, 4 straight lefties due up for Giants. Heck even if he does give up a hit or two chapman can come in in the 8th
  3. Guessing we're just not going to get any help from the offense blah
  4. If anyone was wondering, Posey is 0-3 with a K against Rondon
  5. Ok 6 more outs. I'd almost suggest pitching Chapman in the 8th through the heart of the order and Rondon in the 9th but A) Posey absolutely owns Chapman B) 5-6-7-8 hitters all lefties which Chapman destroys
  6. I know eventually his moves will pay off and we will be like "wow the genius does it again" but for right now I'm perplexed with Joe tonight
  7. Rizzo is just off. He's not reading pitches as well as he normally does
  8. So Strop gets 8-9-1. If he comes out clean Rondon gets the middle of the order.
  9. Well the gamble worked somehow. Middle of the order up, let's get some damn insurance runs
  10. Dammit. Time to get nervous. I keep reminding myself we are up 2-0 but I dunno, it would feel like a lost opportunity to not win this after we roughed up Bumgarner and had him on the ropes in the 3rd
  11. No problem with that. He had a .900+ OPS in September and had already squared up 2 balls today
  12. This is a terrible terrible idea. This was a good time to PH heyward and get him in the game.
  13. Far cry from last year when he almost literally could not be squared up. *sigh* I wonder if he just needs an offseason of rest for his arm and a lot of this is fatigue from last seasons workload. Because he comes out with great stuff and is fooling batters and then there is just a point where he loses it.
  14. Giants were probably a bad matchup for Jake with all the lefties and the final line isn't that bad but man I'm petrified for every Jake start in the postseason. The numbers don't necessarily tell the story. Great the first time through the order, shaky the second time and terrible the third time.
  15. Geez. If you were considering leaving him in to start another inning Joe, that should tell you everything you need to do. 4 straight batters crushing the ball off Jake
