  1. Nothing but because I have wacky inlaws from Cincinnati I somehow got poster signed by most of the Big Red Machine which is actually kind of cool but a little disappointing because of lack of Cubs stuff. Oh well got plenty of money I can blow on stuff
  2. It should be interesting because the Vikings were eliminated today and will probably not give 2 shits about winning the game after their collapse from 5-0.
  3. So once again it's Xmas Eve and the Bulls are bottoming out and the coach seems unable to get the most out of his players. Could it happen again? Probably not because the image conscious Bulls FO would not want the media to go on and on about a Bulls coaching change during one of the 2 national ABC games tomorrow but you have to admit this would be a decent time to make a coaching change if they were going to make one.
  4. Don't forget Lou did the same thing with Sean Marshall against the Cardinals in like 2009. But he only did it for one batter, Joe switched them back and forth which is awesome because it worked.
  5. Not a bad get at all to replace Napoli
  6. He will challenge Dan on his opinions, but he will find the dumbest most pointless things to challenge him on. It would be quite annoying.
  7. I started listening to Boers & Bernstein while painting houses in college in the summer of 2002 and have been a listener ever since. I will be a little sad that the show is off the air, but I'm not sure whether I will really miss it. I don't know whether the quality of the show has gone downhill, or I have just grown tired of their act, or some combination of the two, but I don't listen nearly as often now as I once did. Hopefully the Score will pair Bernstein with someone who will keep him in check and isn't afraid to disagree with him, but more importantly I hope Terry can stick around for awhile and enjoy some time in retirement. From reading the posters opinions on Chicagofanatics board they seem to believe that Dan has gotten more self-righteous (which is funny because of his suspension for objectifying women online) and insufferable over time as he's gained power within the station. At the same time they believe Terry has been checked out for several years and stopped challenging Dan on his opinions and just goes along with anything he says.
  8. That's Terry's last show. Dan won't be there, due to various vacations and live sporting events and stuff. I think it was said the other day that Dan will be there, but not co-hosting the show he'll be one of the 25+ guests scheduled to appear. B&B hasn't been as great lately but I've always liked the show despite its flaws. Probably the only radio show I will ever be sad to see go off the air.
  9. Last B&B is today. Many of the Score guys go on vacation between Xmas and new years so they decided to end it now. Dan will host solo a few days next week and there will be guest hosts other guys. The show on the 5th is Terry doing the show solo with a bunch of guests including Dan.
  10. How to Minimize the Risk of CTE But Still Get Paid By: Kyle Fuller
  11. [tweet] [/tweet] Edit: The picture is not important, posting for the news that Holly is leaving to work for the Marlins broadcast team.
  12. The only things I remember about the ASG other than the HR was Rizzo making a nice stab at 1B to get out Ortiz, and then Lester, in the middle of a bad stretch, getting into a jam he didn't really create (cant remember why, maybe an error?) and not being allowed to get out of the inning. Speaking of the All Star game, little things still click with me about making/winning the World Series, and while typing this post it reminded me that Joe Maddon will coach the NL All Stars this year. Edit: Oh I remember one more - Addy with a nice drive to dead center in his first AB that for a brief second looked like it might leave the yard.
  13. bukie, this is awesome and I'm glad you are doing this. I think it would be helpful if you don't mind the extra effort to update the thread title each time you add an entry. Something like: Top 108 Moments for the 2016 Cubs (#108 Bryant ASG HR) then Top 108 Moments for the 2016 Cubs (#107 whatever this is) Or if you don't want to spoil the moment in the thread title just the number you have most recently posted. Certainly don't have to but it would be nice to know when you add a new entry vs. other discussion in the thread.
  14. The Bulls are just a pointless basketball team right now. basketball hell at its finest
  15. Can you explain Bonds and not Clemens? Even if you want to penalize PED users unless they were clearly HOF talents without them, I can't see how Bonds makes it and Clemens doesn't. Clemens had the 3rd highest WAR of any pitcher to ever play baseball. And his alleged PED use was no more blantant than Manny, a player who was worth 70 less wins over his career than Clemens.
  16. Good point, of their 3 wins, 2 were multiple score wins, and the third was a game the Bears led the whole way. So every time.
  17. Kyle Fuller was put back on IR today, and based on the comments Fox and Fangio made about him not showing that he is anxious enough to come off IR, I wouldn't be surprised if he's done with the Bears. Anyways the Bears are a dog for their home finale. I've actually for some reason enjoyed watching this team now that expectations have bottomed out and its a bunch of young unheralded guys playing for nothing. The games have been entertaining even if the Bears come up short virtually every time.
  18. I'm not really penalizing steroid users, maybe if it was a decision between 2 guys and one was admitted user it would tip the scales the other way, but if I was penalizing more, Sheffield and Sosa are the two guys that I'm not convinced are HOFers if healthy. Sheffield had HOF talent and I think had a HOF worthy career at the plate. Obviously his defense was bad most of his career which should be a knock against him. But the reason I'm not convinced he's a HOFer without steroids is because IIRC he could not stay healthy for a majority of his 20's and then all the sudden from age 28-38 he played at least 130 games every year. We don't know when he started taking steroids but he admitted to taking them in his 30s so you can make a link. Sosa we don't need to go into great detail about. He had a lot of talent but holes in his game until he took off and became one of the games prolific players for a 6-8 year stretch.
  19. In order of how deserving I think they are (and I didn't stat check any of this and many opinions since they are 90's/00's guys were formed before I had a more advanced knowledge of stats so feel free to pick apart) Bonds Clemens Manny Bagwell Raines Pudge Sheffield Sosa Mussina Schilling
  20. It felt like an inning where a pitcher is pitching in a blowout and you just hope the hitters cant square it up.
  21. I thought that was in game 7 it might be both but it was in Game 7 for sure, which actually made me feel sympathetic for the guy a little bit, because it was actually during the rain delay, meaning he held it together to finish the 8th and then pitch the 9th before breaking down.
  22. And we're tied all time. Great job Bears of last 25 years
