  1. This is so amazing. Now only WGN stands in my way from being able to watch any Cubs, Bulls and Blackhawks game (not to mention any Michigan FB/BB game except stupid BTN plus games) that I want from my phone/tablet.
  2. Throw everything and then some at Berry
  3. Isn't the offical announcement at 5PM CT on MLB Network?
  4. It pains me that he's a Cardinal of all teams but very likable dude that was a huge part of first WS championship in 108 years. Cannot and will not dislike him. Gonna be really weird the first few times he comes up against the Cubs though
  5. Yes it's breaking my heart to see him with the team on last time.
  6. Like the sentiment but considering what the Cubs have done the last 2 postseasons taking down postseason veterans like the Cardinals, Giants and Dodgers, I'm not sure what value your last sentence has.
  7. The only thing I care about is whether or not we will get a competitive game in the playoffs
  8. The Big Ten blows hard this year
  9. I would love if they permanently removed their competitive balance draft pick status
  10. You can get a Kris Bryant shersey with the WS patch for just $16. Might have to get that. Thanks both of you. Got the Bryant WS shirsey and locker room hoodie for a total of $24 including shipping. Wanted to get the Nike hoodie too but after I put it in my cart and came back it was out of stock
  11. Is that true though, assuming you aren't counting the team that took the field in the WS with Schwarber? In: Schwarber, Jay, Davis, Uehara, Duensing Out: Chapman, Fowler, Ross, Cahill, Hammel Up in air: Wood, Smith, Coghlan I guess it is but not to the point where I'd be too concerned.
  12. Now legit places are saying it
  13. [tweet] [/tweet] behind as usual? maybe. I didn't post any tweets because nothing was from a legit news source, I think most of the discussion was coming from this tweet: https://twitter.com/SkinWade/status/820013595849129984 Dude's got a check, must be legit right
  14. Stuff floating around Twitter that Tyson Ross has agreed with the Rangers. Apparently he does not like winning the World Series
  15. CSN Chicago is showing the opening ceremonies from 5-7 pm tonight. Anyone going?
  16. I find it less annoying than the fact that during football season they have a minimum 3 football guests a day - and they all cover the same ground of a terrible Bears team. At least with callers there's a chance there's going to be something totally bizarre and funny. Goff and Bernstein is a good combo. The best era of the show was when Goff was a producer and Boers was still engaged, and they virtually had a 3 host show there. My only concern is, as someone who will sometimes listen to both shows, that whoever replaces him on Spiegel's show will be vanilla nonsense. This is the worst time of year for sports radio (if you have a terrible football team) anyway because there isn't much to talk about really. I don't know anything about this Perkins guy other that what I've read the last couple of days, but he seems to have a lot of high regard from what I've read. Whether his personality will work with Spiegs is obviously a concern, not as much because Spiegs is hard to work with, but he's a complete outside that hasn't worked with anyone in Chicago. I read someone that said that this is only the 2nd host hire the score has made that has no ties to the station or something like that.
  17. But you already listen to them, as do a lot of other people. Why mess with the formula? I have listened to them...but I don't on a regular basis, because frankly I find it to be the "Dan Preaches" show. Spiegel and Goff has been a much better show than B&B since Goff's return, imo. I listened to B&B a ton, but don't think I enjoyed it as much as I did 5-6 years ago when Terry was more engaged. I listened but only because it was one of two shows on and I marginally liked what they talked about more than Waddle and Silvy. I think if you gave Dan another 1-2 years unchecked he would be intolerable.
  18. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this will be make it so every one of the 5 Chicago teams visited the White House during the Obama presidency except his beloved White Sox. Obviously the Blackhawks after winning their Cups, the 85 Bears visited this year, the Bulls visited I think twice during trips to play the Wizards over the last 8 years.
  19. The Jags' owner has been pretty open about being committed to Jacksonville. Until the NFL opens up the possibility of a team in London.
  20. Well that will be awkward at the White House next week, because Dex is confirmed to be attending.
  21. The LA teams won't leave. They will be making money regardless of how many fans show up. Jacksonville, maybe someone like Tennessee could mess around with the idea of leaving. Buffalo?
  22. I live in LA and for side money I Uber. So I get to talk to people of all walks of life. I usually prod just a little to see if they are sports fans and have found that pretty much everybody thinks this is a terrible move by the Chargers and don't really give a horsefeathers about them. They were rightfully excited to get the Rams back but couldn't care less that the Chargers are coming. But I'm pretty sure if they were getting the perennial playoff contenders of a few years ago, that would be different. The city is full of casual fans just waiting for a bandwagon to jump onto. But the teams suck so they are certainly fighting an uphill battle Yeah no one wants them and they are likely to have a hard time getting committed fans to fill up the stadium for years. But Spanos will be long gone from ownership of the Chargers by the time it really hurts them, after the financial windfall from moving, revenues from the new stadium, raise in value of the franchise due to playing in 2nd largest market, etc.
  23. I don't think they can block the move can they? I thought they basically gave Spanos a year to exercise an option to relocate to LA at an agreed upon relocation fee of $650m. I assumed that meant the approval was given when they extended the option to the Chargers.
  24. I thought you were making some joke that I didn't understand. Nope, they are really playing in a soccer stadium for 2 years. How could the NFL approve that? Pretty sure there is some sort of requirement to play in a stadium with a minimum capacity more than 30k the last priority the NFL has is butts in seats situations. they don't give a F about it in relation to what matters most. they got a sweetheart stadium situation, they get to flood the LA market, they open up the San Diego market for the next "we're moving" threat. and they get a big relocation fee from spanos. They don't care that the least paid attention to team in the league is going to play in a glorified high school stadium (or downsized high school stadium in some instances). True, but I genuinely believe the NFL was trying to convince Spanos to stay in SD. Whether that was because they wanted the Raiders to come to LA or they thought it was more valuable to remain in San Diego I don't know.
