  1. Yeah, I hate how that became a lightning rod for the worst kind of meatballs to harp about; that balls was horsefeathering annihilated and that it only made it into the basket is a completely weird and stupid fluke thanks to the weather that's going to kill us all within the next 50 years. horsefeathers the nonsense about putting your head down and running; when you destroy a ball that thoroughly, you should be fined if you DON'T pimp it. I know I'm in the minority on this, but a well executed bat drop (see Baez here or Schwarber against Pittsburgh) is just as good as a bat flip. Just once, I'd love to see Bryant pimp one. Nah I love how Bryant is the one dude that shows no emotion like he is a machine built to destroy baseballs and he was just doing what he was programmed to do. Watch his HR in game 5 of the World Series, you'd think he just hit a HR in the Cactus League.
  2. Just to give an idea of how many moments there were overall, just for the NLCS in my notes, I had 70. When this is all done, I'd love to have you publish your notes. I would also love for someone who is really good at video editing to try to compile all these into one long video. Maybe put graphics up to introduce each one with the titles bukie made.
  3. What a little tiny flag on tucked away on the roof that says "2016" is not prominent enough for you?
  4. This is so hilariously salty. So many "almosts" -- except Bryant also almost hit his out. Reading stuff like this also makes me that much happier that we won. Yeah..."If Kipnis would have been positioned where Schwarber hit the ball, it would have been an easy out" No horsefeathers sherlock
  5. Cool article on the Indians perspective of how the 10th inning of Game 7 went down. http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/indians-relive-10th-inning-fallout-from-game-7-of-2016-world-series-022417
  6. For whatever reason the selection on Amazon is complete crap. I've looked through a couple of times and can't find anything. I was originally going to get like 5 t-shirts but probably won't end up doing that unless they're on clearance or something the next time I'm in Chicago. Yeah, I'll be in Chicago in May...should probably just wait until then I've gone shopping a bit recently and a lot of the different variations of WS Champs gear is out of stock. I am assuming they stop making all but the most popular items after a month or so as the demand drops back down.
  7. Cauley-Stein will mysteriously come down with a hamstring injury if that starts looking possible, I think. Possibly. However with all the negativity surrounding that franchise, there might be some value to them making the playoffs even if the difference is between picking 10th or not having the pick. I'm sure they'd prefer to keep their pick and I'm sure that they had it in mind when deciding to trade Cousins now, but if the team responds and plays well, I don't necessarily think they will throw a wrench in that.
  8. One of my 5 favorite hits of the postseason. This hit made the game go from 'fake rally' to "holy horsefeathers its going to happen'. You can even tell by the crowd. They seem mostly relaxed until that hit and then all the sudden the crowd just dies. Awesome moment. Had to listen to this on the radio because of work and it's a wonder I didn't crash my car with all the yelling and fist-pumping I was doing. That comeback was such a unique sports feeling. The actual game was like a depressing kick in the nuts and for worthless pessimists like me, I was already over the game for an hour or so and mentally preparing for a do or die Game 5 when all the sudden we went from that to 'oh yeah the series is over' in the span of 20 minutes. I mean Game 7 had a similar emotional roller coaster to a greater degree of course, but this was more like I was dreading having to wait 2 days with my stomach in knots for this do or die game and then all the sudden the weight is completely lifted.
  9. Nice...I'm pretty sure the Oakland game is the WGN broadcast
  10. One of my 5 favorite hits of the postseason. This hit made the game go from 'fake rally' to "holy horsefeathers its going to happen'. You can even tell by the crowd. They seem mostly relaxed until that hit and then all the sudden the crowd just dies. Awesome moment.

  12. I didn't even realize that. I was reading this thread thinking "man you guys came up with some weird ass nicknames"
  13. I'm pretty sure Boston would've given any 3 of those 4 guys for Butler if the Nets picks weren't included in any way. Find that tweet hard to believe tbh. I don't know if that's necessarily the case. I feel like I've seen Crowder's name come up before as a name Boston would be hesitant to deal - not that he or any of the other three would be the deciding factor in something like this, but combined together I could see Stevens not wanting to break up his core that drastically. Boston is in win now mode (or at least win very soon mode) so I don't think they'd prefer to gut their core even if the upcoming draft pick potentially has much more upside.
  14. Even if you didn't want to blow it up and trade Jimmy, you have to agree that if the Bulls were going to trade Jimmy you would have rather it had been for lottery picks as opposed to boston's role players right? I just dont know about these Bulls anymore....
  15. [tweet] [/tweet] This is just ruthless. I know its been a disappointing season after last year and they are fighting relegation but damn
  16. [tweet] [/tweet] Wow if that is true, what a horsefeathering disaster
  17. Also I don't understand why Doug is considered such a bust. From what I've seen, he seems like a solid role player. Occasionally he can light it up. His defense isn't great, but overall seems like a useful piece for the Bulls. I don't know what people were expecting from a not-all-that athletic (read: White) senior picked 11th in the draft.
  18. Too lazy to post the other tweets. The rumored return is Andre Roberson and Cameron Payne
  19. Wait so theres a rumor that our best 3 point shooter is being traded to OKC for a 24% 3 point shooter? Is this GarPax's way of tanking without pissing off the corporate sponsors by keeping JB and Wade? Edit: Just a disclaimer that its a rumor nothing confirmed by the big guys
  20. swaggy p would be fun yesss, i want fun and excitement, please get him.
  21. Butler is better but i could see a case where PG is more desirable for them. George has thrived in a motion based offense that involves a lot of passing and cutting for awhile, which is closer to how Boston's offense is oriented. Jimmy Butler does a lot of holding onto the ball and uses isolation to contribute offensively. He's insanely efficient at it but its probably not as great of a fit for what Boston does. I'm sure they would love to have him, but if George is available also I can see why Boston might prefer to go that route. Also we've been hearing conflicting things all week about how motivated the Bulls really are to trade Jimmy. My guess is they don't want to move him unless they are blown away with an offer, they won't move him just to move him. Which is good. Despite being more favorable to blowing it up, I am not super against keeping Jimmy...its difficult to trade top 10 talent, I get that. I just don't see a lot of options for successfully building around him before he gets disgruntled and asks out or his contract runs out and he bolts in FA.
  22. A few thoughts that combined just go in circles and don't really say anything important: 1) this team isn't enjoyable to watch at all (David I know that you arent saying that it is) 2) watching guys that have high ceilings develop seems a lot more exciting than this garbage 3) I don't see how the bulls can get to "exciting team that competes but ultimately wont win a title" status, but I agree that things can change quickly with cap space and smart and wise investments in FA and trades 4) i dont believe in our FO making smart and wise investments in FA and trades 5) i also don't really believe in our FO picking the right guys at the top of the draft 6) i don't believe that our coach can develop high end talent 7) i don't believe our FO will get rid of the coach 8) the organization is fucked regardless 9) but I still think I'd rather see multiple lottery picks try to develop and improve and the potential to have actual assets we can get excited about for the future. It was really fun following the Deng/Gordon/Hinrich bulls because we had all those shitty knicks picks, and Deng was still young enough that he could be used as a centerpiece (from a player standpoint) in a trade for a star and not get laughed out of the room.
  23. this seems very pointless it's good for marketing. Eddy Curry, Nazr Mohammad, Derrick Rose, Dwyane Wade, Jahlil Okafor.....Chicago guys come home, right Anthony Davis??!!! There is also rumors of them going after Patrick Beverly
  24. i hope thats not in the final game
