  1. The internet is destroying the Bulls. Every piece I've read on the trade is a complete destruction of the Bulls front office. This is awful and the worst thing is that this buys them at least 3-4 years until they can get canned. They've completely destroyed this franchise (which I'll give Pax some credit for building but still). We are in the New York/Sacramento class of embarrassingly bad organizations.
  2. Jeez I've only watched the CSN post game show like 3 times this year and damn if anything DeJesus has gotten worse. Feel bad for him. He seems like a nice dude but he can't string 2 sentences together without sounding like a moron
  3. This. Again I've been on Team Blow It Up but this is not an acceptable return for him IMO. And then they blow the pick that they did acquire (IMO). My opinion is that they could have gotten similar or better value at the deadline and/or built around him.
  4. https://twitter.com/alexkennedynba/status/87807103753923788 Oh ok. Have fun hitting the salary floor bulls
  5. Solid backup point? Obviously, that's more likely than anything more than that, at this point. But, I thought he had star capability last year before the draft. Nothing to do but hope he bounces back after a horsefeathers first year. I'd feel better if he was like a 1 and done that had a rough first year. But the dude is a redshirt junior that had an awful first year. He will be 24 next year. That is alarming
  6. From what I'm reading the Timberwolves would go higher than Rubio/Lavine until the 16 pick was included. Which is awful. You've done poorly at your job if the best offer you get for a top 15 player is that
  7. Bryant denies Addison a chance at the cycle (ok it would have be a double even if kris tried to score and Addison advanced but oh well)
  8. Stars don't just join shitty teams with no other stars. The Bulls still have 0 stars and really 0 potential stars IMO. Maybe Dunn.
  9. I couldn't think of a more GarPaxian way to blow up the Bulls
  10. I hate it. A 7 footer that can't rebound or play defense. His ceilin is a useful role player imo. We needed to shoot for a star since we dont have one now
  11. I mean jeez I know I was on team rebuild but this is the worst of the offers I saw out there. Not even a top 5 pick nor did they keep their own pick
  12. Looks like Jimmy to Minnesota is done or close for garbage package (Levine/Dunn/7)
  13. Amazing how different things look without the circus trip. Only 1 road trip longer than 4 games and its a 6 gamer during XMas.
  14. Wonder if that was part of the reason why he started in the OF the other day.
  15. I know the reality sucks. The Cubs won the last two games by their sheer talent alone. Being more talented is now a bad thing. The new market inefficiency is to acquire talentless players.
  16. Cubs get 4 total baserunners against one of the worst teams in the league even though the starter leaves hurt after 2 innings, while allowing the winning run to score by walking their #8 hitter with a .265 OBP. No bueno.
  17. Come the horsefeathers on Cubs offense you are supposed to be lighting the world on fire with your dongs, not sitting middle of the pack in runs scored.
  18. 4 freaking base runners in 8 innings against people I've never heard of...
  19. 2 freaking hits through 7 innings against the dregs of the Padres pitching staff.
  20. 11th in bullpen innings going into today. A bit of a concern, but we seem to lean on different guys for stretches and are pretty deep overall, so hopefully no one hits a wall. Flip side of that is Washington, who has 12 less bullpen innings than any other team. Dusty gonna Dusty. That's not too bad. I was looking at Quality starts when I posted that, where we are 25th in the league.
  21. I think Joe begins every Butler start ready to pull him at the first real sign of trouble whether its the 3rd or the 7th inning.
  22. We have a great bullpen but I'm concerned that they will be overworked by the playoffs. Too many sub 5 inning stars
