    Ben Brown is why you can’t blindly assume that facing a 5+ ERA pitcher means you’re gonna tee off on him. After this performance his ERA is still at 5.37 for the year.

    This is the one time I don't hate it. Skubal is allowing a .285 OPS (yes OPS) against LHB this year and Turner has a .333 OBP in his career against him (ok fine its 1 walk and 1 HBP in 6 PA). That said, PCA is in the lineup still most likely because of his defense, maybe you just put your best defensive guys out there and hope its a low scoring game that we win against the pen or something.

    Tonight begins a stretch of 31 of the next 35 against teams above .500. Hopefully our pitching holds strong and we do as well as we did in April (32 of 41 games against teams currently over .500, and that drops to 25 of 41 if the Diamondbacks lose tonight)

    FWIW right now he's on pace to finish at 42 HR and 55 SB. There may be a drop off in power, we'll see. But every time I think he will start regressing he hits another bomb. Either way, he's ahead of the pace in both right now.

    Are they still going to charge the Regional Sports fee on top of the Ultimate package if that happens? I thought that was the point of that fee.

    The current Cubs are 4-29 with 1 XBH (2B), 2 walks, 0 RBI and 10 K against Skubal. The most successful are Jon Berti who is 2-4 and Seiya who is 1-3 with a double and walk.

    PCA saw that he dropped to 4th in fWAR and took it personal

    Figured it was going to be. I think that's what Comcast has been doing with all the RSN's added to their network. They tried to do it with Marquee, but I'm guessing they backed off since most of the people who want Marquee are also going to want CHSN and upgrade anyways.

    Would be insanely annoying to lose a game 1-0 after getting 3 singles to start the game and then not getting a single hit the rest of the game. Especially with the Tigers and Phillies looming.
