Split against the Brewers and Rays, go 3-4 against the cardinals and take 2 of 3 against Mets and Reds. That's 10-9. Brewers would have to go 10-5 in their other 15 games to tie the Cubs (11-4 to overtake) and the Cardinals 8-4 in their 12 other games (9-3 to overtake). Oh and the Cardinals and Brewers still play 3 against each other so 1 of those teams has at least 2 losses already. I know it's difficult to imagine the Cubs going even 5-6 against the Brewers/Cardinals not to mention 5-3 against the other teams with how they played this weekend but the numbers are still good. The Cubs will play better.
