  1. Yeah, I hope that is the case. What is jarring is that they have him projected for more losses than wins. That's silly. Was this proj made without knowledge of what team he was playing on? Who cares about horsefeathering pitcher wins let alone predicting/projecting them Well, I'm well aware of how useless of a stat it is for evaluating the worth of a pitcher, but I would like Yu to have a lot of wins this year.
  2. fix'd I hope he will put up more than 160 innings. Does seem a little light, but I expect this year to be much like 2016 where the regular season is essentially semantics and we’ll be able to limit innings and skip starts/go 6-man rotation the last month+ Yeah, I hope that is the case. What is jarring is that they have him projected for more losses than wins. That's silly. Was this proj made without knowledge of what team he was playing on?
  3. You try to get the most stones possible closest to the center of the thing. It is a very simple game.
  4. I am so proud that this is catching on What does it mean? Sort of the most racist fans in baseball?
  5. It really is a pretty clever marketing idea even if it comes off as petty. Cub fans start scrambling to make sure they can get tickets, and Brewer fans, reminded about Cub crowds in their stadium, rush to do the same thing.
  6. I wanted to change my name here to "Judas Iscariot, the Bird" a while ago, but I would also accept "If Mandy Patinkin was a Horse"
  7. I chuckled to see that the top comp for both Strop and Cishek was Turk Wendell.
  8. Eh. Duensing was better last year and they are the same age. Not much of a difference between them, imo, and we need pen lefties more than righties, no?
  9. That's if you believe there is a source. His posts stink of some dude reading the tea leaves and calling them a source. He reiterates the rumors that are out there and adds color.I'd say it's 50/50 whether the color is from a real source, or his furry friend Harvey. Maybe, but I think this guy is pretty legit. He's called things quite accurately and in the last week or 2 when he said things about the Brewers being after a pitcher the national media guys had tweets/articles about it within a day or 2. I don't care if the guy is using a voice system or if he doesn't have any hands or what, but no one who uses apostrophes like that can be considered "legit" in my book.
  10. I think Mojo made this joke 40 pages ago. But I'll allow it, because we are all bored and want to die Yu, Yu, Yu oughta know! Since we are all just sitting around waiting, go listen to that song and see if you can identify who played the guitar and bass for that track. Weird, huh?
  11. Why not your left nut? He gave that one up to sign Heyward. It was actually from an injury while I worked as a stunt man in a movie from the 80s.
  12. Am I the only one here that would give my right nut to read the words "St. Louis Cardinals" and "relegated" in the same sentence?
  13. I think that's a small vindication sample size you are extrapolating.
  14. For the record, I'd rather give Milton Bradley 3/1 than give Yu 20/2000.
  15. (Also, when I played a few years ago I had no idea that it was a money league...)
  16. I think it is much easier to keep a dynasty league together without money for two reasons. The first is that when someone is bad at this and they ditch a really crap roster, its easier to get someone else to take it over. And secondly, when the (nameless) super-active trade guy who also happens to know all the participants better than others makes a LOT of trades that might seem lopsided, the hurt feelings are attached to much lower stakes. I'd also be interested.
  17. It's ridiculous. I can't think of a team that has more options/depth for position players, and apart from the Dodgers, there aren't too many with more SP depth either (assuming we sign another SP, which we will).
  18. No catastrophe because we would still be a good team, but he's the best player available and fits into our needs perfectly. I want him very much. http://www.rnningfool.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/TeddyKGB_PAYTHATMANHISMONEY.gif
  19. Article: http://www.latimes.com/sports/dodgers/la-sp-dodgers-mailbag-matt-kemp-20180129-story.html Dood had a nice RATM reference thrown into his article. We need more of this.
