  1. Lol, wow. I kinda wanna sign that thing, but I won't.
  2. Just tell us how old you are. If you don’t want to reveal your exact age just tell us whether you are younger or older than Khalil Greene Fine lol. I'm younger than Khalil Greene by a good amount. Man, I guess I should learn to never criticize a "clever" title ever again.
  3. Yes, Sammy Sofa I'm totally coincidentally set off. I'm so angry right now lol. Just tell us how old you are. If you don’t want to reveal your exact age just tell us whether you are younger or older than Khalil Greene
  4. Hahaha. That's so dumb. Why does that matter? A 15 year old has a sense of humor and gets jokes. I don't think I would find this more or less funny at 15. It is possible that jokes get less funny as you get older/mature. I'm hoping you don't find fart jokes or butt jokes as funny as when you were a kid... I actually think fart jokes are funnier now than I did when I was 15. My 4 year old and a friend of hers were telling jokes back and forth to each other in the form of "Do you know what I use for a toothbrush? Leaves!" So I asked if I could join in, and they said yes. I asked "You know what I use as a pillow? A jar full of farts." It absolutely killed, and I have to admit that being being spur of the moment, it was hillarious. I mean...a jar ain't even comfortable! The farts don't change that fact! But on the Meph front, I don't think this dood is Meph. I think there are a lot of Meph-types on these interwebs. I mean, there but for the grace of God...who doesn't exist, btw.
  5. I just want to know if you're very young or just a weirdo It says you're 35. You still find this horsefeathers entertaining at that age lol? That's depressing. I wasn't aware that jokes get less funny at my age. Btw, they were asking your age because they can't tell if you are 15 or something.
  6. Seriously, how old are you? Old enough to know that stupid misleading titles aren't funny... Or maybe I'm too young to understand the hilarity of this series of lame jokes/misdirection. http://cjzero.com/gifs/KobeStaresBrown.gif

  9. Laws of nature dictate we now have the option to take Robbie Ray with us now that Heyward owns his soul.
  10. As a Packer fan that watched Jordy suck in every way you can imagine last year, this makes immense amounts of sense. Jordy is probably toast. Now if they can grow a pair and ditch Cobb's nearly-as-bad contract, the Pack might be in business. There are other TEs that might make more sense to sign than Jimmy (since Rodgers doesn't really need a jump-ball-winning TE type) but I'm pumped.
  11. Can't he just pee in the shower and call it an environment-saving-day like every other guy?
  12. It’s up there if it isn’t the best with the others mentioned here but also Bobby Hill and some guy named Matt Bruback for Kenny Lofton and Aramis Ramirez was pretty damn great. Lofton was awesome in that 2003 playoff run and Ramirez goes without saying. Rizzo for Cashner will ultimately be better I would guess. fWAR as a Cub: Rizzo: 23.9 (6 seasons) Ramirez: 25.8 (8.5 seasons) Arrieta: 16.5 (~4 seasons) What we gave up in all 3 cases is negligible for the most part. Cashner has had the most success but he's been on several teams since the Cubs traded him. Sure, but that isn't including Lofton's WAR, and not subtracting Cashner's. But now that I think about it, the Sandberg trade and Sosa trade both prob beat Aramis.
  13. I would guess that in terms of major league WAR not many trades in Cub history compare to the Aramis trade.
  14. After his post-Trump election gloatfest, he was essentially dead to me. I would have preferred he went to the Brewers so I could root against him harder and more often.
  15. The Cubs probably won't be involved in more than a couple of these, though, and it's not like you have to pay for them, so I guess it's fine. This is stupid. I assume it is only going to be "streaming exclusive", meaning we can still see the affected Cubs games on WGN, WLS, NBCSports (especially since the broadcast schedule has already been announced), but I still hate it. As an MLB.tv subscriber, I expect to be able to watch all the out-of-market games through MLB.tv. Would I really watch one of these mid-week afternoon games, maybe not, but knowing that I can't is annoying. And I don't want anything to do with Facebook. Yeah, I use facebook often, but half of the point of having MLB is that I can lead the game and skip commercials or watch a game in the evening that occurred in the afternoon. If facebook gets more than 1 Cub game this year, I'm asking MLB for some of my money back.
  16. JD seemed fairly well annoyed when he learned that the guy wasn't going for a Syndrome look.
  17. That swinging K on 0-2 was the furthest from making contact I've seen this Spring by a LOT.
  18. Lays it on a bit thick and maybe everyone else already knew all of this about Ichiro (I didn't), but thought this was a pretty good read: http://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/22624561/ichiro-suzuki-return-seattle-mariners-resolve-internal-battle

  20. [tweet]https://twitter.com/GrimmReaper_52/status/968984194171920385[/tweet] To be fair to Grimm...this IS Spring training. I prefer HRs allowed to walks at this point, no matter last year's HR/9 rate.
  21. Every time I see an Australian being mildly funny makes me fairly sad that John Clarke died.
  22. Probably not washing his temple garments often enough.
  23. Damn it I sort of remember what this is a reference to but don't I think maybe last spring there was an article about Russell and his family and how his mom was still working like three jobs, and while he was hitting that grand slam she was working the grill at Chili's or something like that and for some reason she still hadn't even seen it. edit - it was chili's https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/columnist/bob-nightengale/2017/02/09/addison-russell-cubs/97693202/ ...his domestic issues are starting to make a little more sense.
