  1. There are other players I would prefer, namely players that don't play 2B (poorly), but you can't argue with the price.
  2. As long as you still have an open RB spot to fill, even WITH Kamara I don't think you need to force yourself away from Bell with the top pick. He's the best value. Take him. Hell, you could trade Bell for a 2nd rounder-type WR and a decent RB. Take Bell and crush everyone with your awesome RB duo. And if you take Bell and guys like Kamara are already off the board, even in a WR zany league, you might cause a run on RBs, and then you could have better than Diggs sitting around in the 2nd, like a Devante Adams or so?
  3. Not at all. I think its a no brainer, myself (against righties)
  4. I know what you are saying, but to make my counter-point clear, I would be a VERY consistent hitter in the major leagues. no, you'd be a very consistent out.
  5. Because I didn't think about it very much. EDIT: Full disclosure: I finished my first draft and realized I didn't have a 2B, so I just threw Zobrist in. so, your first draft didn't include the cubs most consistent hitter? I know what you are saying, but to make my counter-point clear, I would be a VERY consistent hitter in the major leagues.
  6. Must be menstral. Oh, wrong Dangerfield movie fake injury. My bad.
  7. Can somebody recap? I refuse to go to that board. "mortgaging the future for a division that was 80% likely to be theirs anyway" which is swiftly shot down by others since we gave up absolutely nothing.
  8. Russell's glove doesn't slip in the field, only in the bed. [bbvideo=560,315]https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/6df03946-7b23-48ee-ae87-65dafe465ed4[/bbvideo]
  9. If Yu is any kind of guide for that kind of....forget I said anything.
  10. Because of the draft trades your team is obviously awesome, but I'm not used to 2 QB leagues. If those tier of QBs go that early, I would think you'd want to stash a 3rd QB on your roster, right? Or at this point is it just dredges on the waiver wire so it doesn't matter anyhow? I mean, if its a keeper league, there has to be some value to stashing guys like Bridgewater or Jackson or other current backups/rookies that could be feasable fantasy starters if given the chance.
  11. Imagine a fan base where it is easy to forget a guy with a visible swastika tat in attendance at a game. Who knows though, maybe that lurker saw a guy burn a cross below the Addison platform.
  12. I mean, maybe, but you were the guy on an epic freak out bender that I was trying to make bets against during your doom boner sessions back in late 2016. And it worked didn’t it http://s3.amazonaws.com/images.hitfix.com/assets/7054/sigh.gif
  13. Spoken like a man whose money isn't actually being spent. I hope we get Harper, but man, that has to make them think twice when busting out a $350-$400 contract. They have no choice but for it to go right without starting to seriously hurt, unless they are just going to spend like the Dodgers and then none of it matters. Harper will be worth the investment. He’s a generational talent and he’s 25. Barring a major injury, he’ll be worth it. The Cubs channel or whatever it is going to be called will generate more than enough money to pay for him and everyone else when the time comes. Fingers crossed the new Cubs channel is somehow just a roku ap. I'd be so juiced to buy that.

  15. Someone give me a gif of that goofball that picked up the ball, stat.
  16. Yeah, but his wife is a big funder of Dems and other liberal causes. Almost a wash. And I take it you are aware that the t-shirt you posted up there was altered from a Cardinal shirt that had Zambrano instead. The ocean of hate sloshing around on twitter isn't offset by a t-shirt you saw around Wrigley. The narrative is old only because it is shown to be all too accurate.
  17. Weird. I've been a part of this forum for a little over 2 years now and I don't recall seeing a post from this guy... Are you seriously A.) A Cardinals fan who posts on this site? B.) Defending that terrible fanbase in all their MAGA-loving ways C.) And no one was talking about the reasonable fans. We were pointing out the stupid "highlight" video, that joke of an article that's now been deleted and the many dumb comments on Twitter. I don't know why you brought that up. No horsefeathers, he's not the next Mike Trout. PS -- I grew up in Southern Illinois so I'm very familiar with Cards fans and I've been to St. Louis plenty of times. I'm very comfortable describing their fanbase as being overwhelmingly White, very Christian and very racist (sometimes they hide it and mention "cultural values" or something like that). Now, I honestly don't know if it's the MOST racist fanbase in professional sports here in NA, but it's definitely up there. I don’t post much anymore. I used to when there was a “rivals” section and there was actually good conversation with Cubs and Cards fans about the rivalry and baseball in general. Now I mostly lurk. I grew up in Southern IL, so I know that part of the fan base really well. I also lived 15 blocks from Wrigley for over 15 years, so I know that fan base better than most Cubs fans. Now I live 10 minutes from Miller Park. Like I said, there are great and terrible fans for every team. Pretty sure if you went to the GRB forum you’d find the same opinion about that article being silly. To sum up: you have lived in places and there are bad fans everywhere, which means Cardinal fans can not be more racist than others. Do I have that right?
  18. I was holding out hope that Terry Gilliam broke his hip or something.
  19. Meant to say this when you posted but thanks! Ended up keeping Cook and Collins. Yeah, obviously the right move. Having great value keeps and lots of early round picks while missing out on underrated players in the middle of the draft is a good "problem" to have.
  20. The NFL is a team of conservative goons responsible for turning the brains of a large portion of our population into goo, and my preferred team, the Packers, is a fermented and condensed version of all that. I sometimes pretend I wouldn't watch every game if A-Aron wasn't on the team, but it is a lie. I don't have a clue what the above means. But your a Packers fan, so that works for me! Based on my personal experience of hanging out with Packer fans, being a Packer fan is not thumbs up-worthy, but thank you.
