1. Someone give me a gif of that goofball that picked up the ball, stat.
2. Yeah, but his wife is a big funder of Dems and other liberal causes. Almost a wash. And I take it you are aware that the t-shirt you posted up there was altered from a Cardinal shirt that had Zambrano instead. The ocean of hate sloshing around on twitter isn't offset by a t-shirt you saw around Wrigley. The narrative is old only because it is shown to be all too accurate.
3. Weird. I've been a part of this forum for a little over 2 years now and I don't recall seeing a post from this guy... Are you seriously A.) A Cardinals fan who posts on this site? B.) Defending that terrible fanbase in all their MAGA-loving ways C.) And no one was talking about the reasonable fans. We were pointing out the stupid "highlight" video, that joke of an article that's now been deleted and the many dumb comments on Twitter. I don't know why you brought that up. No horsefeathers, he's not the next Mike Trout. PS -- I grew up in Southern Illinois so I'm very familiar with Cards fans and I've been to St. Louis plenty of times. I'm very comfortable describing their fanbase as being overwhelmingly White, very Christian and very racist (sometimes they hide it and mention "cultural values" or something like that). Now, I honestly don't know if it's the MOST racist fanbase in professional sports here in NA, but it's definitely up there. I don’t post much anymore. I used to when there was a “rivals” section and there was actually good conversation with Cubs and Cards fans about the rivalry and baseball in general. Now I mostly lurk. I grew up in Southern IL, so I know that part of the fan base really well. I also lived 15 blocks from Wrigley for over 15 years, so I know that fan base better than most Cubs fans. Now I live 10 minutes from Miller Park. Like I said, there are great and terrible fans for every team. Pretty sure if you went to the GRB forum you’d find the same opinion about that article being silly. To sum up: you have lived in places and there are bad fans everywhere, which means Cardinal fans can not be more racist than others. Do I have that right?
4. I was holding out hope that Terry Gilliam broke his hip or something.
5. Meant to say this when you posted but thanks! Ended up keeping Cook and Collins. Yeah, obviously the right move. Having great value keeps and lots of early round picks while missing out on underrated players in the middle of the draft is a good "problem" to have.
6. The NFL is a team of conservative goons responsible for turning the brains of a large portion of our population into goo, and my preferred team, the Packers, is a fermented and condensed version of all that. I sometimes pretend I wouldn't watch every game if A-Aron wasn't on the team, but it is a lie. I don't have a clue what the above means. But your a Packers fan, so that works for me! Based on my personal experience of hanging out with Packer fans, being a Packer fan is not thumbs up-worthy, but thank you.
7. 100 percent wrong. So feel good. ...you know something we don't know?
8. Just looking at the faces of these goobers in the VB's pen on Gamedays makes me feel there ought to be an additional "racist tweets created" stat line somewhere on the screen.
9. First two pitches to Shaw, called ball 1 and ball 2, are squrely in the zone and in the middle of Shaw's cold heat map sections on Gameday.
10. chest injury When your line of affliction-style t-shirts are too tight. I swear, instead of the "how dare you gif" I made in reply to the "nerds knowing chess players" comment, I was going to say I needed to do something to cancel out all the Affliction t-shirts I wear, but didn't want to broach a douchy subject.
11. not only are these the first two walks of albert almora's career, they represented the first (and second) three-ball counts he's ever seen. ...the last two pages have me concerned that you are some alt-universe version of me.
12. Nakamura is such a wipe. I love him. I've seen this before, but I didn't notice him obsessively fiddling with that pawn, and then I go to check...yep, there is his redbull. Second favorite chess player after Morozevich.

15. That gif remains one of the greatest of all time.
16. That lineup really, really sucks. Someone stress the "micro" in microdosing to Maddon, please.
17. Running sample size into the ground and through the horsefeathering planet to the point that it becomes some sort of meaningless baseball crypto-nihilism long stopped meaning dick a long time ago.
