  1. I agree. He cannot be underestimated.

  3. I was pretty obsessive about that game. When I saw this video, I got a little depressed at how much better than me some of these guys are...and then I saw that it wasn't until the late 90s that someone was able to TKO Tyson/Mr. Dream in the first round. I was doing that before Sosa hit the roids! Then I felt a lot better. [bbvideo=560,315] [/bbvideo]
  4. Not sure if the Orioles thing will pan out, but I think it’s a foregone conclusion that the Rays and Marlins have to relocate. Charlotte and Nashville would be two good markets for them and it wouldn’t upset the divisional alignment. It would also shrink the Cardinals' market, so all the better.
  5. Gave it a like even though it didn't quite work.
  6. #WhatKids Oh, so now you spitefully want Tony Kemp to never be able to know the joys of bringing life into the world? YOU SAVAGE ANIMAL MONSTER. Besides, what kind of bleeding heart would advocate giving a guy a job solely because he has some kids who need to be fed? Can't they take their suitcase full of nickels, cook some ramen, and be grateful for it?!
  7. But I think most people agree he's one of the best 25 players in the organization. We just #DontCare. You can keep giving daily updates on his PCL slash lines and we're not going to want him called up. He can get called up and hit 15 HRs in September and we're not going to want him on the playoff roster. He can hit another grand slam in another World Series and we're not going to want the Cubs to sign him in the offseason. The fact that defending Russell is this important to you and yet there's no stat on his BRef splits page that will convince anyone to agree with you is the lone bright spot in this situation. I was with you until the 15 HRs in September.
  8. Well, it appears its trending.
  9. Careful guys. Criticizing hugely overrated and washed up Cardinal players and wifebeaters trigg...I mean, riles this guy.
  10. Yes, but break this down further into home/road splits and where he bats in the order, and then you'll see the REAL truth.
  11. I did the right thing and used the ignore feature, but you mopes keep quoting him so its only marginally effective.
  12. Lol at you goofballs.
  13. I was gunna link to Old Town Road as a sh1tpost, because...road cobs and all of that. But we need stronger medicine than that. [bbvideo=560,315]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3LKtTUR29s[/bbvideo]
  14. This game sucks, and I'm bored, so I'm going to break this down. "Since 2014" Heyward batting 1st in the order: 2014: .270/.343/.393 (428 PA's) 2015: .000/.000/.000 (4 PA's) 2016: .000/.250/.000 (12 PA's) 2017: .105/.227/.158 (22 PA's) 2018: /1.000/ (1 PA) 2019: .159/.227/.377 (75 PA'S) So the one year that he got consistent playing time, he did pretty well. The next 5 seasons he racked up a whopping total of 114 PA's and was not good. HARD HITTING ANALYSIS Yes since Heyward publicly said he didn't like leading off Never used the ignore thingy til just now.
  15. They will figure it out in a few games. Trust me. Cubs can’t win on the road and Pirates can’t win anywhere. Something’s got to give. [bbvideo=560,315] [/bbvideo]
  16. Some of that might be close to true, but the stats you use to support it are just nearly meaningless. Please nod yes if you understand.
  17. So you are saying some baseball players are better than others? Amazing insight. What if I told you sometimes, players play better for some stretches of their career than in others? And what if I also told you that distribution of success is largely random...and IF there actually were some kind of correlation to KB not hitting in Stl or Heyward being bad at leadoff, that you would need orders of magnitude more stats to prove or even hint at that? What then? Would you just ignore me and give me another small sample size or cherry picked result?
  18. Yep There was 1 out a man on 3rd and Baez on deck who was 0-2 with 2ks. We were out of relief pitchers and Lester had 2 strikes on him. Yeah, he could’ve fouled out, but if he gets in play it’s game over. It wasn’t even a great bunt and Heyward scored. A stupid horsefeathering call is a little dramatic. No, it was stupid. So much more could go wrong, like erasing Heyward, or even a dp, in that situation. Not to mention the foul ball. It was way dumb. Also, lol at the Javy 2 AB play by play. Is something catching in this place?!
  19. Yeah, well, I was 6'1 and weighed 125 pounds and I prob could only bench around 150 but I played DT because everyone is a wuss and no one knows how to stop an arm drag, it seems. And also, High School football coaches are morons.
  20. I mean, we won the game, but damn was that a stupid horsefeathering call from Maddon. What was? The bunt? Yep
  21. football is really fun to play - because no one plays with idiotic things like the offensive linemen can't twitch . . . watching football on tv is akin to watching 3.5 hours of commercials with about 10 minutes of action. says someone who's never put on the pads and spent time in the trenches. Football is hell to play. Getting rapped by a white cross sniffing 240 lb monster on a guard pull/blitz special is akin to being hit by a 1969 Chrysler Imperial when you are 6 years old. Don't challenge me on that one, I've done both. but I love watching it.
