    Well sure. I'm not rushing to buy an Astros jersey. I'm justing saying they have risen over the low-moral-bar that is the Cubs organization. They are awarded no points. What did they do to rise above the Cub's low bar? They fired the taunty super horsefeathers who forgot to pretend to care. Correct me if I'm wrong, the Cubs never had an incident like that, right? *I find the Cubs organization to be overall pretty terrible and am not trying to defend their actions regarding DV which have been bad Yeah, I think we are splitting hairs, but Addi often forgot to care, and you know, actually abused someone...well, Addi is still, after over a year of bs, still on the roster. It only took what, 4 days to can this tard with the Stros, right? I understand Osuna is the closer on their team, but you can at least feign some kind of redemption with a new team/scene thingy. Whatever. It's all a pile of sh1t.

    Not really? We might be run by Machiavelian turds willing to win regardless of any kind of ethic, but at least we aren't telling female reporters "horsefeathers you lady! This wife beater kicks ass in all the right ways." I think that is a worthy distinction. No, we're just trading for them and picking up their options. Trust me, those actions speak way louder. Edit: Also, please reconcile these comments with your comments in the General Baseball chat. I decided to actually be sarcastic there. Edit: Louder? I don't follow you. Don't our trade and option actions (apart from executives trolling reporters to their faces about domestic violence, which was entirely my point) speak exactly as loud?

    considering all of his wizardly slides, its not the best one out there. god I hope we never trade him Does the game have a “swim move?” Or a “stop time” cheat code?” Javy really should have some kind of Prince pf Persia, Sands of Time mode he can tap into. Would make the game more realistic.

    Not bad. Besides when I was actually watching the game, I don't think I could have told you the sequence of events that led to Michale McDonald or whatever his name is in the last AB. I think the whole Javy bunt strikeout rage probably blocked it from my memory, but good for JHey to contribute to the actual game, not just the locker room. I remember being livid with Maddon during the game, but I had forgotten the deets. Holy horsefeathers.

    I'm also a landlord, but my wife is handier than me so she does all that blue collar stuff. (Except for plumbing stuff and electrical stuff, she hates that.) Pretty sweet deal for me! The trick is to get tenants who don't suck, and then when you don't screw them over and respond to their issues, everyone is happy. I don't get why everyone doesn't do it this way. My first tenants were awesome and I was great to them. My house was built in the 1870's and flooded during Katrina (which made it pretty cheap, obviously), so the maintenance is a little trickier than the average place. It's been a crapshoot since that couple, though. Sometimes the good ones turn to horsefeathers over time. I've had good luck with yuppie stoners. Find them and make them stay.

    Well, yeah. It's not as if landlords are all rolling around in piles of money. I busted ass doing work on a rental property mostly from info on YouTube videos because I couldn't afford to pay workers to hang sheetrock. I've been burned by tenants who didn't pay rent, money that I depended on to make the house payments. Tenants have secretly sublet my place out for Mardi Gras to frat boys who trashed the place and pissed off the neighbors. It's a vital part of my income, not some scheme to screw over people and get rich. That house is nearly as much a full time job as my real full time job.     I lived in Arizona for a few years. In Gilbert, specifically, back when it was just an orange grove next to the desert. I routinely woke up with gigantic wolf spiders crawling on me. It was awesome. Oh, and yes, they really do like to crawl into your mouth.
