  1. Harden!? Lol. We're mid-season tank Billie Beane A's now!? And we also jettison Vic for no reason!? Man, I'm just going to stay away from the internet for a week. This horsefeathers is infuriating.
  2. My opponent in my of my finals had Gaskin, AJ dillon, and CeeDee Lamb on his bench, but he had Evans, Devante, and Jeff Wilson so it didn't matter. In my other league, Derek Henry was my highest scoring position player, so it's a goose egg this year.
  3. So if I'm reading this right, this is a bad salary dump with an underwhelming prospect haul where we actually take on salary!? How can we even blame this on PTR? Wtf is going on here?!
  4. This belongs in the feel good thread.
  5. I'm up against Hunter "Hurst" Henry in both of my finals match-ups, and stashed Kittle on one of those lineups where TE has been a huge weak spot. Weird.
  6. I had a Draftkings lineup for the Monday night game only. You get to pick a player to be worth 1.5X more than normal. I picked Ebron, and as the game was such a horsefeathers show, I still wound up cashing somehow. In other news, my brother had a 1.6 point lead in his semifinals match up, with his opponent out of players and my brother only had JuJu left. He decided to brave a stat correction loss and benched JuJu, who went on to score negative 2.6 points...
  7. TY isn't getting the targets to make me think his recent uptick is likely to continue. You should also account for the fact that the second game of divisional match ups favors the defences, so don't overweight past match ups this season. Teams compensate and react to scheme. I think I'd still lean TY with DJ. I would take whichever Carolina WR you think sees the least of Alexander in coverage. Not sure how that is going to work out. If Cooks is back, it should really help Coutee. Tough decisions, imo.
  8. "Of all the nonsense that the most duplicitously conservative sports league in the history of the United States of America has ever pulled, this might be the most ridiculous piece of soft supremacy we’ve ever seen." https://theundefeated.com/features/mlb-elevating-the-status-of-negro-leagues-is-the-problem-not-the-solution/
  9. I don't know if any of you all play best ball leagues. This year was my first doing any. Draftkings gave me a few entries for free with a promo they had, and the drafts were so amazingly weak that I decided to draft a batch of extras and see how they fared. I mostly have done really well, but when I go and check on the status of the teams, I don't understand how. For instance, in one of my leagues I'm currently in second. The roster has Dak, Burrow, and Minshew as my only QBs. The team also includes Golloday, Odell, and Marlon Mack. Waller, Hockenson, Gibson, Cook, Scantling, Diontae and Lockett were enough, somehow... In another league, where I'm in third, I had Kittle, McCaffrey, Wentz, and Jimmy G. What in the living hell.
  10. I've decided I'm going to lift my front foot and bend my lead arm on the backswing. Just because its cool.
  11. when was the last time the Cubs lost or any other Chicago team lost a real stud in their prime? I was really bothered when the Cubs lost Maddux. I wasnt shocked because everyone knew it was coming. It still bothers me that the Cubs screwed up so bad with a HoFer and then have the audacity to retire his number. I think the thing with Len is the shock of it. You always get the sense that relationships are ending no matter what level they are on. This completely floored me. wait you were mad that the cubs retired maddux's number? who tf cares? Seriously. They brought him back at the end, and then let him pretend to be a sound guy and throw curveballs at Kris.
  12. losing len hurt me more than any chicago athlete leaving ever has. i guess we all just assumed that he would be here for a very long time. What the hell? They stole our sunshine!!!
  13. (I'd still prefer the DH, tho)
  14. sorry, i meant sontensei http://www.northsidebaseball.com/archive/search.php?author_id=15403&sr=posts At least he said please.
  15. It won't be until Len is on what he assumes to be his final broadcasting job that he'll relent and admit working for the Ricketts made him physically ill. And it only took him 9 years to come to that realization. I'm sure it has been a slow but accelerating creep for him, just like it has been for all of us here, and accentuated by Marquee.
  16. This 100% It won't be until Len is on what he assumes to be his final broadcasting job that he'll relent and admit working for the Ricketts made him physically ill.
  17. What this board needs is more Andy Masur jokes.
  18. If its just a guy that made a twitter account two years ago to drop this today, then who is that guy?
  19. I keep trying to watch videos explaining what's happening in LoL matches and I never understand what's happening. There was a week-long span where I could get a general sense of wtf was going on. Now all I can remember is "Jungler."
  20. Was considering getting some kind of package to watch the Cubs next season. Forget that. Maybe I'll get really into League of Legends or some non sense.

  22. Damn man, ESPN is horsefeathering up. He'll do just fine on whatever other venue he cares to show up at.
  23. I'll be happy for him if he does well elsewhere. Otherwise, that's also how I'm steeling myself.
