He has definitely given that outside pitch tonight. Marquis got that in the first and second inning. Soto thought it was a ball and went out to talk to Marquis to settle him down. But that is 4-5 inches outside. -

Not sure if this has been posted, but on April 29 Rose was caught driving over 100 mph in the Chicago area in a 65. His court date is soon and he could be put in jail for a year. Would Zell allow the Cubs to spend and get someone before the trading deadline? He has been a tightwad, but a Cubs team who wins the WS would be worth significantly more than originally thought.

He might be better at his sport than MJ was when it is all said and done. For Michael, he had teammakes to pass to. For Tiger, it is him vs. every other guy out there.

Maybe he isn't genuine, but he sure seems to be having fun with the Cubs. When he hit that game-tying homerun earlier in the week, he seemed pretty excited. I wouldn't be happy for him if he was hitting .179, but it is a little easier for me to like when when he looks like he is enjoying himself.

He's at least got to go on the 15 day DL. The Cubs played well with Soriano out last time, but I doubt they will repeat that play. Bring Haufauir up, move DeRosa to left and play Fontenot at 2B, or let Edmonds and Johnson play full time.

Yeah, on paper Forte sounds like he's another Benson clone. Call me crazy for not having too much faith on us drafting good offensive players. On paper?

My first choice would be to sign Kevin Jones and 2nd choice is Travis henry. Kevin Jones makes a lot of sense. I'd go with Jones. Henry has reportedly fathered 9 children with 9 women. I doubt Angelo will want to take in another problem player.

Benson said he had two or three drinks for dinner, but he was pulled over at what, 2 or 3 in the morning? That is way past dinner. Was he administered another test at the station or once you decline a field sobriety test you are automatically charged with DWI?

When you were just in trouble for a similar occurrence and you have been warned by the Bears to quit it, it should be shocking.

Benson's career is just another reason why there needs to be a salary cap for the NFL draft like the NBA has. There is no reason that Benson or any other player in the NFL should be one of the highest paid players on a person's particular team right out of college, especially considering the bust rate in the NFL. Of of Benson's two arrests prior to the NFL was thrown out because it was a sham. Maybe these two are, but I don't know if Angelo will wait to see what happens in light of the Tank Johnson scenario (he gave Johnson mercy, but Johnson kept on screwing up).

Benson was charged for another DWI last night. He was pulled over for a traffic violation and refused a breathilizer test. Is this the end for him as a Bear?

Their bad pitch selection evened out ours. Now way Fukudome should have seen a slider there. I also didn't like the fastball to Kent. Howry was up in the count and should have wasted a slider or two on him. As a reliever, you can't be a one-pitch pitcher. Kent hit that HR on a 1-1 count. You're right. I would still like him to mix up his pitches, especially to a good fastball hitter.
