  1. Showalter would be a huge mistake. He runs way too tight of a ship.
  2. Tallon won't be here if the team doesn't improve quickly. I am surprise Tallon wasn't fired first, only because he's the one that signed two average goalies to above average contracts, traded a solid 2nd line centre and had to send down a young talented DMan to "clear cap" to fit Huet and Habby into the salary cap. The Hawks are still an immensely talented team, but it was Tallon he put the Hawks behind, not Savard. Look Savard isn't a great caoch, but for the org to "scapegoat" a Hawks legend like they just did reminds alot of the olds days of Wirtz/Pulford. If the Hawks don' turned it around then Tallon will be gone. When the Hawks signed Khabi he was not average. Hadn't he just won the Stanley Cup and had a great season? Huet was one of the best goalies last year wasn't he?
  3. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2008/columns/story?columnist=bryant_howard&id=3642371 It is the ALCS, and he is nearing the summit of one of the four most influential clubs in the history of his industry (in terms of historical -- and financial -- significance, only the Yankees, Dodgers and Cardinals rank with the Red Sox). Do you agree with this?
  4. Great picture on the chicagotribune.com front page. He has a can of chew in his back pocket. Couldn't they find a better one?
  5. I hadn't heard this before. My guess, Zambrano or DLee. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/So-which-Cub-flooded-the-visitor-s-dugout-at-Dod?urn=mlb,113546
  6. I couldn't believe my eyes. But even the average Bear receivers were getting plenty of separation which made the throws easier. But still, Kyle has been throwing he ball much better lately. Nice work Kyle. Roy Williams is a terrible teammate.

  8. Didn't he visit Africa or something like that and realize football is small potatoes compared to the everyday problems people face?
  9. In his press conference today Lou said that he did not call out Soriano and whoever is spreading that rumor should stop it because it isn't true. I don't believe Lou one bit.
  10. You guys think the players are behind Tommie or the management on this one?
  11. Or the Dodgers will continue to clean the Cubs' clock. There would be a run to the bat rack. Harden deserves this start and not to give it to him is a fireable offense.
  12. I would imagine that Fukudome's pride is taking a huge hit. Isn't getting called out in the media even more embarrassing in Japan?
  13. Great question. That homerun he hit in Milwaukee gave him 2 games starting in the playoffs.
  14. Someone asked Lou if Fukudome would play again and Lou said that he won't start him anymore and that Fontenot will play. He said he is overmatched and in a slump or something like that. Pretty quick response, pretty terse.
  15. Actually Lou, it is do or die and you just admitted it. Wow, Lou nailed Fukudome. He is no longer playing. Well if you were so mad at him, why did you play him tonight you bum? Be mad at yourself.
  16. Vasher stinks. Bears could be 4-0 even without Harris. They need Tilman to play though.
  17. Game 1: Bad inning and Demster has no control. Game 2: Errors. Game 3: Bad call by an ump when the Cubs are in control which blows the game for them. I just know it.
  18. That's the Manny difference. The Cubs don't have the big slugger that everyone fears.
  19. I'd take Orlando Cabrera. At least he can field, unlike Theriot. You'd have to think he'd be able to improve his average and OBP in the NL as well. Theroit>Cabrera
  20. lol if ward bunts.. broxton can pick it up go take a tour of chicago come back and throw to first to still get the 3rd out. I was talking about Fukudome. 2 called third strikes in a row.
