  1. Maybe Selig should make this game count too
  2. I don't think so. A little while back they had a mini-home run derby for those guys before a Rockies game that I was at. They were hitting them far, probably like 450, but nothing close to what Hamilton was doing. That's with the thin air too.
  3. Can those professional 12-inch softball hitters hit it farther than these guys?
  4. This is stupid. I have been hearing abbot this promotion for a while and I knew it was stupid then.
  5. He's the best Jewish athlete since Bill Goldberg. Jason Marquis: *Raises his hand in disagreement* Sandy Koufax....conversation over. Goldberg was post-Koufax. http://www.salon.com/sports/feature/2007/09/01/jewish_baseball/index1.html Ian Kinsler is Jewish. Youkilis isn't bad either.
  6. When they don't show it, you know someone almost got hurt. Watch out cameraman.
  7. How many feet will it take to get one out? 600?
  8. Ha, nice! Looks like someone had a late night last night.
  9. Hamilton was a lefty pitcher in high school who could throw 96. Wow. Their pen could use him.
  10. Does Hamilton even have to hit in the second round? He will be able to save his energy. I hope he hits one out of the park or hits the white background.
  11. I've seen a lot of Marmol. I haven't seen Soto yet. I saw him, he's videotaping. Erin Andrews? Soto is married remember. What is she wearing?
  12. The Holy Spirit must be giving him power
  13. I've seen a lot of Marmol. I haven't seen Soto yet. I saw him, he's videotaping.
  14. I've seen Marmol. Do you have to go to the HR Derby if you are an All Star?
  15. Yeah, they could trade him. But they aren't going to trade him to anyone who could challenge them. They are going to want to trade him out of the division, and likely out of the NFC. That reduces the number of teams dramatically. Still, they could trade him for a decent player. But who is going to offer anything decent in return when you know that Brett doesn't have many options? Brett could have returned with the Packers in the spring. It sounded as if it was pretty certain that Brett was going to come back. They have a great team. Now everyone is going to hate him for starting this mess up. I hope he either goes to the Bears (which won't happen) or he officially retires.
  16. Second best scenario is that they trade him. Could they get anything good for him? Who can take on that salary?
  17. Brett has been interviewed by Greta Van Sustren who is from Wisconsin and has told the Packers that he won't be a #2 man behind Rogers. The Packers won't release him and asked Brett for a number of teams that he would be willing to go to, but Brett wants to be released and wants to make the decision himself so that he can go to a competitive team. Brett seems a little angry with the Packers brass which can only increase the chances that Brett lands with the Bears. But again, do the Packers have to release him if Brett desires that? Oh and Brett said he was pressured to retire by the Packers because he wasn't sure that he had made up his mind yet. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8306816/Favre:-I-don't-feel-welcome-in-Green-Bay
  18. If that is true, Green Bay's decision makes perfect sense. But in the back of my mind the Packers were minutes away from a Super Bowl. Bringing Brett back gives them a great chance to win the Super Bowl. And isn't that what every organization should be about?
  19. He'll come back to the Packers or stay retired still IMO. Everyone is saying how this is a bad situation for the Packers to be in, but they really do have all the leverage in this. So the Packers don't have to give him his release? I don't see him going to Tampa or Baltimore. I don't think Brett just wants to play, he wants to win a championship. Minnesota is the best option.
  20. Up until yesterday he had the best ERA on the team
