fixed also look at Grossman's numbers when he came back after the ridiculous benching. That's because he toned his act down. Grossman's upside is that he can be a playmaker and a gambler. Once he learned that he can't do this (after the benching), he won't make as many mistakes, but he won't have the upside either. If that is all he will be, let Orton see if he can be better. The Bears aren't making the playoffs with either QB. We have seen Rex. Now let's see Kyle.

Grossman regressed in 2007. It's not the same guy.

No way. Every player on the Packer offense is better than the Bears counterpart with the exception of Kreutz. They have a solid defense too. The Packers will contend for the division and a Wild Card spot.

Jerry has specifically said on a number of occasions that Rex and Kyle were promised an open competition and that's all. No guarantees before camp that one would be the starter. Mike Mulligan (Sun-Times beat reporter) has been saying for weeks that the Bears have 9 million left. Maybe that was before Hester.

Why the hell he came back? He had no other offers. He wasn't getting a starting spot anywhere else. At least in Chicago he could try for one. There's not even a question? What game are you watching? No one is head and shoulders above the other. The Bears aren't going anywhere with Grossman. Might as well see what Kyle can do. Money talks more than playing for a good team does for a number of players. It's easy to fit Boldin under the cap. You give him a huge signing bonus which does not factor in the cap. Or St. Louis does. Then you trade him for Briggs who we gave a signing bonus to. The Bears have 9 million left under the cap. Boldin gets a few million on top of the bonus. Money is not the problem here.

With Boldin' renewing his trade demand, I would love for Bears to make a move for him. All the good players the Bears could trade for were already given signing bonuses. Can you sign and trade in the NFL? I'd trade Briggs for Boldin and move Jamar Williams to Briggs' spot.

Orton has a lower TD to INT rate. He might be a game mananger, but he throws more INTs than Grossman.

Manning might not play. He hasn't practiced yet and his knee might be worse than originally thought. But if Manning sits out, the Colts still win.

Chip block by Olson. Quick screen to Forte. I don't know if Hester will perform a quick inside route for fear that he will get crushed up the middle.

If Clark is hurt for any length of time, there are problems. I heard on the radio that Olson can't play on any pass blocking plays because he is a terrible blocker. It is going to be hard for him to see many passes thrown his way if when he is in the game you know he is only acting as a receiver.

also in that link: good deal. Dusty just seems like the type of guy who can never stay on the field. Hasn't he had 4 completely different injuries in 2 years? Not good. You are right, but man that defense looked great in the first game last year vs. the Chargers with Brown and Dvoracek. But the offensive line in that game was about as good as last night's. Grossman almost got killed numerous times. I really can't blame his poor play on him last night or vs. the Chargers.

No, why would it be? How can you represent another country if you don't live there? Because that country doesn't have professional services that will make them the money they are now making. So you are saying the NBA should field a team against a team from a league in Greece,Spain, etc? If I live in England for work does that change who I am? I am not talking about professional athletes. That I understand. Having a regular job working in England is one thing. Representing your country but being away from it for the last four years training in your competitor's country is another.

I wouldn't really cut his time. As long as the Cubs are maintaining their lead in the division, they have a better chance of winning the World Series with a productive Lee than anyone else. The Cubs and Lee just need to see what they can do to increase his production, and that would be seeing more pitches with some rest time. Rest him once a week from here on out, at least until the division is wrapped up.
