Dan Bernstein had an interesting take on Duerson. Duerson was very much up on the research related to football players and brain injuries, especially early dementia and something else (CT or something?). Now that more details are coming out, Duerson was beginning to show early signs of dementia, had no $, and didn't want to be a burden for his family. Dan called what Duerson did "heroic" because he didn't want his family to have to care for him like a few others former NFL families have had to for other players who are in full-blown dementia and are close to vegetables. Terribly sad story.

Watch what happens when the new collective bargaining agreement comes down this summer. The salary cap is going to get lowered. The Knicks had to get rid of salary/players to be able to afford anything other than Amare and Anthony.

According to an nfl.com article Duerson himself asked that his brain be donated for research. He apparently made the request in a text message to his family and asked specifically that the left side of his brain be examined. Did he send the text right before he shot himself or did he send it weeks or months before?

Thomas is going to need about 10 games off to rest. But I really like what Asik is doing. Yet he still only deserves second string minutes which is what he will get.

I can't fathom the thought of what this team would be like with Beasley instead of Rose. Man the Bulls were lucky to get that pick.

Stockton has to retire. He has had a nice long career. The regulars must be preparing for the All Star game. Ginobli has clearly traveled 2-3 times this game.

For as good of a defensive PG as Paul is, I didn't see him do much on Rose last night. Paul needs constant screens to get a shot off. Reminds me of Heinrich.

Losing on a goal tend would have been painful. I think it was goal tending actually.

Get C.J. out now. He can't play against first string defenses. He must think he should play like his old days with the Warriors by just throwing up shots.

They already have. Thibs benched Boozer for most of the second half about a month ago after Boozer got torched. Boozer was mostly professional about it, but you could tell he wasn't happy.

I didn't think Dent was getting in this time, but good for him. Long deserved.
