If Cutler really wanted to go back in, they should have let him. So if we're not blaming Cutler, we should be blaming Lovie for thinking he had a remote chance in hell of winning with Todd Collins or Caleb Hanie. With Hanie in, the Bears had more than a remote chance. Heck they were driving in Packer territory with a few minutes left to tie the game. Fact is, Hanie gave the Bears a better chance of winning than Jay if he had a busted ACL. In today's NFL, you go by what the doctors say. If he further injured his knee, it could be career threatening. Then there are lawsuits. I don't blame Lovie or Jay if it was the ACL. But I don't know if they would have known that's what it was without an MRI unless there are tests that you can do that give you a pretty good idea what is wrong.
