  1. I stopped by the spring training complex today.
  2. Sounds like they've got you worse than they've got me.

  4. I think Barnes swats his hand off the ball pretty clearly. http://cdn0.vox-cdn.com/assets/4450435/doc.gif To me that's a clean enough swat where I'd be pretty pissed if I were Doc. I think there is more of a question whether barnes hits the ball at all. I get why Doc is pissed--and it has nothing to do with him thinking this might not be a foul. He admitted it was obviously a foul. He is pissed because the same thing happened to them in the first round where they were the team to get fouled and lose possession (although I think that play was much less of a foul). But to me this was the "right" decision.

  6. Yeah I am totally ok with giving the ball to OKC on the Jackson/Barnes interaction. Clearly the ball went out of bounds because Barnes fouled him.
  7. Plus, not that I am really arguing one way or the other on this as I just got home to see what happened... but isn't this draft much deeper than usual? Even to the point that the UDFA's are going to be good this year. So trading a 5th round pick in next year's draft and getting a 7th this year might not be as much of a drop off as it usually is.
  8. Speaking of this, has anyone read "The Devil in the White City"? I had heard about it recently but haven't read it, and I was wondering if it is good.
  9. lol. I am just glad that after hundreds of years of a horrible history of racism in this country, we have finally found the true victims: white guys who are tired of hearing about it.
  10. Yeah. The frustrating thing is that the Wild almost took the 3-2 lead last night. They were up with 2 minutes to play when Colorado pulled their goalie. The wild brought the puck into the offensive zone and an Av's player committed a blatant hold (not wanting to give up the empty netter). Refs didn't call anything and they got the puck, came in to their zone offsides (again not called) and scored a goal about 5 seconds later. Won in OT. i don't care. watching varlamov break would be fun. Yeah I don't really care either. I feel like the blackhawks are better than either when playing well, and I sort of think they woke up a bit this series.

  12. It sucks that a team like OKC (all of the west really) gets as good of a team as Memphis in the first round while Miami won't have to play a team that good until the finals. I think there are multiple Western teams that could beat miami, but while they battle it out all playoffs, Miami gets to coast back to the finals. They are going to get the wizards in the ECF for [expletive] sake. Every year in every sport, some conference is full of bad teams, or some division is full of bad teams, and some good team gets screwed in one way or another, be it missing the playoffs, or having to play someone tough immediately. Sucks, but that's the way it is. I am not one of the people arguing that we need to change the format or anything so that all teams are mixed up against each other. It just sucks... mostly because I hate the Heat more than I have hated any sports team in history. I know it isn't always fair, but this conference seems to be the worst example of a conference I have ever seen. At least at the beginning of the year, the pacers seemed like they could challenge. But they can't even beat a sub-.500 hawks team?

  14. It is tiring to watch the bulls on offense.
  15. Not only did Gibson seem to call timeout before the jump ball, I don't even think Nene ever tied up the ball. It looked like he just hugged Gibson from behind.
  16. http://img.pandawhale.com/post-29824-R-Kelly-WTF-WHAT-gif-DAFUQ-Tra-WRJC.gif Man, that is so unbelievable. I guess it makes sense considering the playoff format for all of those years, but I don't think I have ever actually realized it was that bad. Maybe I realized it in 2003 and just blocked it out of my memory. That is way more embarrassing than not winning a world series in over 100 years.
  17. It looks like real life Breaking Madden.
  18. Oh man, this is so sexy if you picture it the right way. Especially if the wide typo wasn't really a typo. hahahaha
  19. Not that I am worried about this, but didn't the league take cap space away from the Cowboys and Redskins a year or so ago for moves that they made during the uncapped season. If I remember correctly, the teams were mad because not only did their moves follow the rules of the season, but were also approved by the league at the time.
  20. Now you're just being silly. Yeah there are plenty of real reasons to hate Carroll. The USC stuff, the 9/11 truther stuff. Now for my (admittedly) irrational one: His personality just seems incredibly fake. He seems to be on the opposite end of the crazy spectrum than Jim Schwartz--who spikes headsets even when his team just came back to win a game. But I still get bothered by Carroll's buddy buddy attitude with players and that every moment of his life seems to be the greatest moment of his life--so much so that he has to let out multiple Ric Flair WOOO's every game. Even the way he chews his gum annoys me.
  21. Honestly I think I am just rooting for the packers to win the division at this point. This Detroit team is so unlikeable with Schwartz and their dirty tactics every week, I would rather the packers win it. Especially because the lions would be lucking into it, yet act completely cocky about it.
  22. I think Ron Artest took like 12 days to come back. But I am going to assume the worst and think it is season ending.
  23. I don't know if we will know until the surgery. I think some are worse than others. Chris Paul took 8 weeks, I think. Didn't Westbrook have two surgeries?
  24. K.C. Johnson ‏@KCJHoop 1m Per sources, Derrick Rose tore his right meniscus and will need surgery.
