  1. Yes. That was a bad penalty. He went way lower than the head. The lion just brought his head down to his level.
  2. While I can agree with you at times, there was NO way stafford was going to make it all the way for a first down there. There was no reason to be that agressive.
  3. Yeah. I can't stand it either. We can stop a team all game but will go into prevent at the ends of either half to give up easy scores. The tampa-2 already limits big plays.
  4. hey what do you know. A wasted 2nd down run that does nothing.
  5. Let bates call the rest of the half.
  6. It would probably be a hell of a lot more interesting if the Giants get in.
  7. That actually seems entirely possible.
  8. If I wasn't a Bears fan, I would so be rooting for Washington to overtake them and get in. I mean what would be more fun, the Bears as they look now or Griffin (assuming he can come back and look healthy) causing some damage.
  9. Yeah, I wouldn't mind keeping bates in some form I guess, but my worry is that the big change they would make to the coaching staff would just be to fire tice and move Bates to OC. I don't think that would be good enough. I want a real OC in here.
  10. Just once in my life I would like to see a bears team have an offense that dominates. I don't even care if the defense can't stop anyone and we still end up losing. Just once see an offense that you always feels can score. Today, even when we got a first down or two, I immediately thought "here comes the false start to push us back."
  11. Those GB Defensive backs have a lot of [expletive] nerve talking [expletive] after that play to Alshon. They get bailed out 3 times and then get away with PI and have the freaking nerve to talk trash. I also hate that GB got so much sympathy for that Seattle call because literally every other week they get crap like this where every call goes their way.
  12. Someone on Facebook posted this. I didn't get to watch the game (or many games this season), but what's going on here? The game had just ended and he was looking back and telling the girls in the student section to call him. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but earlier in the game he was taking the ball out of bounds right in front of the student section (waiting for the ball from the ref) and the students were right there on top of him yelling things. Maybe they said some things to him and he was just joking back.
  13. If they want to eliminate kickoffs, just eliminate them and give the other team the ball at a certain yard mark. I don't get the need to allow the team that just scored to have a chance to keep the ball.
  14. This could actually be a bad thing. I think Lovie is already one of the more conservative coaches. While going for 3 may have been the right call, I was OK with the fact that he went for it (and seems to have gone for it on 4th down more than usual recently). I did hope before the play that they just sneaked it. Hopefully this one decision doesn't swing him back in the opposite direction now so that he punts and kicks every 4th and short.
  15. Its like every time they have a penalty that makes it 1st or 2nd and more than ten yards, we play way back and let them complete a short dump-off pass for a big pickup.
  16. Obviously love its in OT here, but don't have a good feeling the way they have been driving the ball.
  17. Announcers talking like it was a late hit but I don't see that at all.
  18. on the previous carry he motioned to send someone in for him and put his hand on his midsection.
  19. Man right before cutler juked Thomas, I was afraid for cutlers life. Thomas was coming in fast right at him and I just pictured a nasty head to head collision. Nice move.
  20. I believe I remember this as well. Was it on fangraphs? I think I found it, but it's not as in-depth as I had hoped: http://www.insidethebook.com/ee/index.php/site/comments/does_speed_age_better/ That may have been it. I feel like it was from fangraphs, though. I just did some quick searches on there and all I am finding are brief mentions in articles about the carl crawford signing saying "he has a skillset that ages very well."
  21. I may be wrong, but I could have sworn I read an article a year or two ago that said speed players actually age better (relative to other types of players) despite the common belief that the opposite would be true.
