  1. He's crazy, but I would love for the Jets to draft Barron and then manuever around for Perry. He and Ingram are the workout warriors amongst the first round pass rushing candidates. I have them 1-2 as DE/OLB prospects.
  2. I'll say this about Simpson...on draft day I thought his arm worked fine and that he looked like he had solid upside. This is an interesting season for him and I'll be following all year. If his velocity picks up then good things are ahead.
  3. Whoa that's not good. Hey anyone know where another guy who's probably a bust is...Austin Ree? Started strong and initially I liked him as much as Wells. Haven't heard anything good since his 2010 debut.
  4. Keep him. Good starting pitching is just too hard to get, and it's doubtful we get an arm back that will deliver even similar results.
  5. Jeter hits his first career grand slam.
  6. Any reports on McNutt's stuff this year? Last year he was working on mechanics doing the Josh Beckett (going from arms over head during windup to not doing that...or it could be the other way around, I forget)...Like CR said just happy to see he's getting K's and not giving up hits. I was surprised to find that I liked McNutt on the mound...more athletic than I thought. I thought he was overrated going into last year, but I saw hints of why you might have come away impressed with him if you saw him in 2010.
  7. Steal. Borderline first rounder...Great picks for the Bears and Lions today, IMO. I considered for the Jets with the McClellin pick with Moore probably done after this year and Slauson a FA next year. Interesting thought on him at C btw. It doesn't seem wild. Wilson makes sense for the Bengals with Silatolu (they could use a G talent) off the board. Their OL is huge and would love blocking for a stud young RB, and Wilson is pretty good.
  8. Actually, screw it. Message board alphas who can't even use punctuation or grammar can't possibly even be kinda sorta worth it. NDT meme is peeeeerfect for this but again, screw it. Legitimately give zero fucks anyway.

  10. Imagine you at 17 being drafted top 3 in a sport...17 year old me would be surrounded by so many big titted white women.
  11. I wouldn't either. Someone will open up the wallet for that kind of talent.
  12. Still a good decade plus to go but back in 2009 I called him the most likely future HOFer of any of the young pitchers in the game. Since then he's fn gotten better. I thought I was just crazy guy talking, and probably still do but I'm just glad I'm not eating the words 3 years later. Johan Santana peaked at like 88 today....Still a good pitcher because he's a pitcher and therefore a savvy mfer, but man do I miss dominant Johan. Guy's mental makeup, work ethic, and toughness are just through the roof so it's not shocking to see him doing alright after a surgery that usually kills careers, especially at his age. One of the easiest athletes to root for that I've ever seen.
  13. I like Thompson better....best run stuffer in the draft and I think he can be a 3 down DT. Only really issue is he's from Clemson.
  14. +1 There's a kid from VT who play CB who IMO should be the other CB option. I'm surprised Brandon Thompson is still on the board. Mocked him tithe Texans in the first so they aren't starting Shaun Cody anymore.
  15. This is sacrilege in the prospect world to say but I think Bauer is overrated. His command and control just aren't ace level. No denying the stuff is exceptional though. OTOH love Skaggs and eventually Bradley...D'Backs should be well prepped for the day Upton leaves for ivy brick walls.
  16. Yeah and he killed the offseason....Still think he's more of a third round talent, but pass rushers are at a premium and he has some potential there. Plus he's versatile and played ILB and OLB during the senior bowl. It's not a bad pick by any means but really wanted Curry and the flub on Hill was deflating.
  17. Wow great to see Scott and Concepcion throw well...Might be my favorite two arms in the system. Baez is going to be such a beast...Seriously see a RH Robbie Cano as his ultimate ceiling. Eaaaaasy bat speed and contact, and everything is a line drive. Saw a thread on Sickels' blog where Vogelbach got lots of love. Personally he's slightly overrated right now, but could still see him turning into an OBP/SLG type 1B/DH. I'm just glad to see the Cubs system in the early stages of being put on everyone's radar. This system is going to be huge in the next 3-5 years and will hit machine status by the end of the decade IMO. Right now were only seeing the earliest glimpses of this evolution. /end optimism
  18. This is getting silly - the previous 3 picks have all been guys I was targeting for the Titans. Luckily my top couple haven't gone off the board yet..... That's the draft...I was hoping for Vinny Curry. There's a couple of OL that I know I'm going to miss out on that I think will be ten year starters, and then one giant OL gamble. Honestly felt like I was reaching just slightly for McClellin, but he's been a hot name since the Senior Bowl so I just made the pick. Almost went with Zac Brown tbh...Scott understudy who offers more coverage potential, and has the size to do the other duties as well. In fact, I kind of regret not going in that direction.
  19. G'dammit. ...Jets select DE/LB Shea McClellin Boise. Not a bad second option. Seriously considered Zac Brown, but like McClellin's size and pass rush a little more.
  20. Actually not too big on Roache...think he'll be a big K guy and he's similar to Michael Burgess...Maybe I underestimate his athleticism? How is he defensively? Probably one of those "not fast, but has a good arm' RF prospects who'll end up in LF is my guess, but can't say for sure obviously.
  21. Any 2012 scouting reports on Kevin Gausman? I've only seen video from his first game, which left me impressed. Baker is an alright pitcher, but I was hoping for a more exciting name (though I can't really think of anyone to compare him to).
  22. Sounds interesting...Will try to find some video on him at some point. I've heard of Dahl. He sounds interesting but not in a 6th overall type of way. Agreed that Dahl's profile sounds like a better bet to come close to his ceiling...Any similarities between Dahl and Brandon Nimmo from last year?
  23. To illicit your anger, obviously. Take solace in the fact that it's not going to happen. Really hope he and Bosio make some adjustments and some contender becomes enamored by the decent price and length of his contract. Doesn't even really have to close probably.
