    Miley has the third best ERA on the Orioles' starting staff at 5.40, and Len said yesterday their offense has the worst K:BB ratio in the majors. How in the world are they only 5 games below .500? It's not like Trumbo, Davis, and Machado are crushing their usual amount of dongs.

    There is no way they bump terrible, accomplished veteran John Lackey out of the rotation for Montgomery with the way he's pitched lately. Damnit.

    I'm probably giving Kap (and Muskat) too much credit here, but I wonder if this is a Muskat-Brett Jackson-Kershaw type thing where she might have heard something was happening but jumped the gun and looked really stupid. Yeah, I'm giving him too much credit.

    Huh, I thought Eloy was putting up better numbers than he is. I mean I'm not going to pretend like he's not an awesome prospect but with the groundball issues that have been mentioned, and I always thought it was weird how much more LF he's played than RF in his career, this deal feels pretty sweet.

    That would be my ideal scenario. I'd rather bet on Verlander bouncing back (since his stuff hasn't diminished at all) while holding onto Eloy, over trading Eloy for Gray. Maybe Verlander's terrible numbers in his age 34 season should scare me more, but man his stuff is still electric.
