  1. The bench was all lefties if I'm not mistaken and Joe was in horsefeathers it mode at that point, clearly. One of them was Rizzo. Would've needed a pinch hitter after Bryant if it got that far, but La Stella and that Taylor Davis dude who bats RH were also available at least
  2. I have basically the same amount of confidence in Edwards and Strop, so I don't really have an issue with Carl staying in. But I'm not writing that off as bad luck when he had a leadoff walk and bounced a fastball to advance the winning run. Two of the outs were on the bases. I am quite perplexed that Heyward took that AB to leadoff the 9th however
  3. I'll see your concerns about Zobrist and Russell and raise you a Jason Heyward. I actually feel good about both Zobrist and Russell as players going into next season. Though I also think Russell's shoulder pain the past two seasons is something to keep an eye on. I get that when Addison and Javy are both on their game, Addy is the better defender. But given the strides Javy has made and to possibly better preserve Addison and get more out of his bat, I no longer think it's crazy to consider flipping their positions when they're on the field at the same time.
  4. Yeah I still don't think we've had that bad of luck with injuries. It certainly helps when we have probably the best backup SS and C in the league and one of the better 6th starters. This one could really hurt though.
  5. JD really bleeds blue now. He sounds legitimately heartbroken.
  6. lol, this inning is setting up nicely to give Freeman a chance to horsefeathers up
  7. lol, I just saw that Kemp has that gold glove patch on the back of his glove because he won one like 10 years ago. I feel like his patch needs to be revoked or something.
  8. Those were the best dance moves of the season. I figured I was gonna miss the dont move when a hard foul ball is hit at you game. I thought that was really funny, but the dancing has been a good replacement
  9. Just? Offensively, we should all be praying for that to be the case. Defensively, at least to this point, Kyle isn't near the butcher Dunn was.
  10. Bryzzo horsefeathering rules. There are a lot of good, talented hitters in this lineup and you see how many ups and downs the other guys go through. Not that Bryzzo is immune to cold streaks but they are as consistently excellent as hitters can be. Fun to watch.
  11. Following on gameday, that strike call on Happ was an abomination
  12. Shoehorning Heyward into CF over both Jay and Happ today was kinda annoying. It's about time to stop starting him only because of his contract when he's gone basically two full seasons in a row of being a bad hitter.
  13. Holy horsefeathers. Lackey's mound presence is never good, but he's completely spazzing out this inning.
  14. I dont think Hoskins made a baseball move
  15. I'd like to apologize to the Professor for doubting him and thinking he was permanently broken earlier in the season.
  16. I don't have time for Jesse Rogers' "intentional walks never work" horsefeathers right now
  17. Can someone please make sure Thom sees what Happ has done after the last two dongs, if he hasnt already. I would like that audio.
