    Lol Castro isn't even in the frame and it's past second base If Russell was playing behind second base, it's safe to assume Castro was not playing his normal position.

    Soler's been extremely disappointing but he has had just an absurd amount of lineouts.

    Matt Duffy didn't hit a homerun in his college career (over 500 AB's). Bryant had 31 his Junior season alone. Duffy has only 4 fewer homers in the majors this season. That's kind of...annoying. Looking more at Duffy's numbers, he had a .594 OPS in his college career! Then something clicked for him in the minor leagues.

    Just looking at the stats and the contract (2.5 years of control left), I'd happily give up anyone in the system for him. But man, his UCL is just begging to be torn. Even factoring in the sliders, I'd give up anyone for him. I'd wince slightly if Torres were included, but I'd get over it.

    He has caught all the especially nasty relievers - Grimm, Rondon, and Strop.

    Dallas Beeler is starting tomorrow. That makes me excited for a new starting pitcher.

    At least we still have 7 games left against the Giants. If we continue to drop, that could help us.

    c'mon, guys. This series is terrible and embarrassing, but they'll still only be 2.5 games out at worst after today with over two months left. Just two days ago we held a playoff spot. We still need to buy.

    1) Why was the wind howling in on a warm July afternoon? 2) I really dislike that guys like Rogers and Sharma are now saying things like "the postseason was a long shot before the season anyway, who cares!"

    OK, Joe, maybe don't call a hit-and-run EVERY time Castro is up with a runner on 1st...especially if there's already one out.

    When you're relying on Clayton Richard, Dallas Beeler, and an injured Tsuyoshi Wada for the 5th spot, I think starting pitcher is clearly the biggest need.

    Come on, that picture had to have been altered.

    If the Phillies are only "lukewarm," or whatever was reported a few days ago, on Baez and Castro, then I don't see a match with them. We're not trading Schwarber, and the farm system is overrated now with a Single-A shortstop and a corner outfielder without exciting power as the two best trade chips remaining.

    Half a game ahead of the Giants now with that win. I'm going to watch the [expletive] out of that scoreboard these last two months.
