  1. Please don't hit Schwarber in the hand or something.
  2. omg, couldn't catch up to Axlerod last night, but can do it against Chapman
  3. Maybe that 3rd base ump will unnecessarily call two balks here.
  4. Yeah I'm with Len. I think that was bad luck.
  5. wtf is the nick ahmed series It was during hockey season.
  6. lol, 1200 feet worth of outs from Rizzo, Bryant, and Schwarber today
  7. It's in there, but it's meant for when there's runners on first and second base, the first baseman is behind the runner, and the pitcher forgets and turns to pick off and he throws it to the first baseman nowhere near the base. It's not meant for when the first baseman is a few feet away from the base when the pitcher turns and is on the base when he receives the ball.
  8. hahaha, that's the worst balk call I've ever seen.
  9. The exit velocities would paint a hilariously different picture than the Cubs down 4-1.
  10. Beeler, Cingrani, and a Schwarber-less lineup kind of worries me.
  11. Great American Ballpark is playing really big for everyone but Schwarber. I've never been more convinced fly ball outs were homers than Soler's yesterday and Rizzo's just now.
  12. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if Schwarber does catch Lester. He's our best/hottest hitter right now and he probably sits on Sat with the Arrieta/Hamels matchup.
  13. now they're toying with the idea of playing Middlebrooks at short & Yonder Alonso at 3rd... lol, that reminds me of when the Reds played Alonso at positions other than 1B. I want to say Campana got his only MLB homer because Alonso was kicking the ball around in LF.
  14. Wada pitched yesterday for Iowa. While it didn't go well, he should be able to go Sunday as well if there's no trade.
  15. Games like these, I always wonder how people like Theo and Jed react. Like even those guys had to have let out a scream and massive high-5.
  16. He strikes out a lot even when he's going well and is currently in a slump. We don't need to worry. They're fine. I'm not long term worried about either but it's frustrating watching them be so bad right now. Bryant is too good of a hitter to not be a star, contact issues be dammed i still don't really agree with this You don't agree we should worry about him, or that he's too good of a hitter to not be a star? If it's the latter, we (NSBB) need to accept that he's really, really good despite the strikeouts, and he's better than Soler. GET WITH THE TIMES, DAVID
  17. He strikes out a lot even when he's going well and is currently in a slump. We don't need to worry. They're fine. I'm not long term worried about either but it's frustrating watching them be so bad right now. Bryant is too good of a hitter to not be a star, contact issues be dammed He's on pace for one of the best rookie seasons of all time. A slump has pushed his ops DOWN into the .820s. He's a star.
  18. He strikes out a lot even when he's going well and is currently in a slump. We don't need to worry. They're fine.
  19. Isn't Cingrani starting game 2 for the Reds? I bet Scwarber still catches game one.
  20. We could see CJ Edwards if we need innings. Hasn't pitched since July 19.
  21. Herrera's been in the game for like 5 innings, Thom.
  22. Leadoff hitter swinging 3-0, a lineout, the last batter not giving Hamilton a chance to steal...some good fortune that inning
