  1. He's had a really good zone up until that point.
  2. Kruk actually seems like a decent human being, at least, I'll give him that. But YIKES, that was some analysis.
  3. The shot he took at Schilling during the open was pretty funny.
  4. Hmm, Vin Scully going on about Starlin's stolen base streak and how he stole home a few times earlier in his career. I don't remember those..
  5. I will say, I do agree with ARCubsfan on the Cardinals-Giants topic. We're about to be 5 back of second place in the division if the Dodgers hold this lead. Worrying about the division seems kind of silly to me, even with how good the Cubs are. ALTHOUGH, arguing about who to root for as if it makes a difference is even more silly, I suppose.
  6. Not touching the base at all is protected under the neighborhood play? I guess it's not much different from when they're touching the base only when they don't have the ball, but it still seems kind of strange to me.
  7. lol, I was pretty pumped when I saw the title. But I didn't realize he's been terrible this year. Looks like he still throws hard and hasn't lost any velo since last season when he was good (though it is down almost 2 mph from 2013). Maybe he isn't totally done.
  8. Give me Richard or P Johnson. Clayton can at least keep the ball in the yard for 5-6 innings.
  9. Yay Kris. Assist to the 3rd base ump for saying Coghlan didn't swing when he most definitely did.
  10. Does the LLWS get good ratings? I can't watch it for more than a few minutes. The strike zones, the constant crying.. and lol at that start
  11. So, Emilio Bonifacio is playing for the Iowa Cubs tonight.
  12. The Nationals, Phillies, Braves, and Marlins could play a round-robin tournament where no team wins a single game.
  13. Dang, just realized we get Madbum and Kershaw back-to-back.
  14. So what do we do when Soler comes back? If Starlin, TLS, or Javy can take hold of the 2B job (not a lock that happens), then Soler probably goes to the bench if he returns at all.
  15. This is a good opportunity for Arrieta to save some bullets. Bullpen reinforcements are coming soon. Let him go 6 and call it a night.* *Assuming he doesn't have a perfect game going.
  16. That was the loudest noise I've ever heard.
  17. Jesus, Joe. It's in the mid 60s. I know you're old and used to live in Florida, but yeesh.
  18. Maybe the first base ump should've just admitted he wasn't paying attention during that Posey AB.
  19. the video game move is coghlan playing at 2B, not RF, which we've done, you crazy ass weirdo True. But as good as the offense has been lately, they're not good enough to survive a world with Coghlan at 2nd and Bryant and Schwarber at the corners. And Fowler isn't exactly Lorenzo Cain in center. lol, my goodness. Come on man. 1) Coghlan will be playing RIGHT FIELD. 2) Coghlan and Bryant won't/wouldn't be worse in RF than Soler. I'd actually bet decent money Bryant would be a noticeably better outfielder than Soler, but instead he will remain at THIRD BASE.
  20. Damnit, I really should've gone to that Iowa game. Was considering it. And I forgot Rivero even existed.
  21. Kris Bryant is a walking endorsement deal. [tweet] [/tweet]
  22. I'm not too broken up about Soler. We probably become better defensively, all things considered, and I have faith Maddon will play the right matchups between Starlin, TLS, and Javy.
