  1. Just google the title. Then you can read it.
  2. I also don't follow college football hardly at all, but it is hilarious to me that a great coach and recruiter like Harbaugh is starting Jake Ruddock at quarterback. Again, I don't know very much, but my Hawkeye fan friends disliked him and it's funny for me to think that Harbaugh is getting Iowa cast-offs.
  3. oh good because i wasn't and haven't been aggressively ridiculing the idiots who were worried about blowing the lead over catching the pirates (or previously st louis) Lol cool your circuits, man. I haven't been following this board that closely of late. I think Sahadev Sharma might have been the one who programmed David. I mean that mostly as a compliment, as I really like Sahadev, and as a result, David, but both are unafraid to make an aggressively condescending post (or tweet, in Sharma's case) every now and then.
  4. fWAR at 5.2. With a good final month, he'll get to 6 wins. Brett said it's only been done by a rookie 3 times since 2000.
  5. Also, Austin Jackson probably IS the better player for 2015. He and Soler have been about the same hitter this season, and Jackson has played most of his games in Safeco. Plus, Jackson is a much better defender.
  6. Rodney, Motte, and Soriano are a combined 11-1.
  7. Personally, I can't staaaaand having more than three tabs open at once. I gasped at that screenshot.
  8. I'm still sitting here mystified by that Bryant fly out. But whatever, that ended up a really fun game.
  9. lol, 432 the other way on a changeup below the zone
  10. Rodney still has good stuff, unlike Soriano. Grimm had already been used, and their top hitters weren't up, so Maddon decided to save Strop and Rondon. Rodney got 2 K's and a grounder, to go along with that homerun. It sucks that he hung that changeup and the wind took it, but I don't think having Rondey pitching that inning was so bad.
  11. Anyone who says someone other than Bryant will end up being the best of the Cubs' rookies is trying too hard to sound different and cool. And yay Miggy!
  12. I'm almost wondering if Russell hurt himself on that check swing or something. Double switching the better player out so the pitcher's spot is 9 spots away instead of 8 is....weird.
  13. When did this "Javy is a great defender" movement start? That was never really the scouting report coming up, and he wasn't great in his stint last year. Does this all come from Maddon trying to be positive about his spring training performance? I think JD was mostly just talking out of his ass last inning when he said Cubs people weren't sure who is a better SS between Javy and Russell, but I feel like a lot of people are talking about his defense when they weren't just last year. Like I'm not necessarily saying he's bad at defense, but the sudden extreme confidence in it seems weird.
  14. Bryant entered play right at 5.0 fWAR. #heisgood
  15. Right now, it's probably just best to assume Soler won't return. That's where I am, at least. I had doubts he would return before acquiring Jackson, and while we would have use for him even if Soler returns, that made feel a little stronger that Soler's done.
  16. That was close to being some REALLY bad TOOTBLANery. Still sucked, but not quite as bad as it could've.
  17. What a strange defensive alignment. They created a huge hole, still on Schwarber's pull side. The SS could've been holding Russell close while playing on the first base side of second. I'll take it.
  18. I'm still a Hendricks fan, but if you're going to walk two runners into scoring position, Grimm needed to be in. But our offense will make that decision moot.
  19. I don't have an issue with walking Votto. But it's way to risky to trust Hendricks to get out of that.
  20. I don't mean to sound insensitive or whatever, but I get kind of an Adam Lanza vibe from Lorenzen. The shape of their faces have some similarities.
  21. Damn, Hector, mix in some core work every now and then.
  22. I really like Dan Schulman, but I want Len calling this game right now, damnit.
  23. It wasn't a strike. It would've either been a whiff or weak contact. Gotta trust the umpire to not miss the call.
