  1. No, it's criminal how little support he gets while honks like Gossage and Morris just keep bitching until people let them in despite the fact that their woefully underqualified. I agree, I think both Trammell and Larkin are HOF worthy. I just wonder if some more recent SS's offensive numbers have hindered them getting into the Hall. I think one thing that will help Larkin over Trammell is that Larkin was considered the best SS in the NL for much of his career. Trammell was never considered to be nearly as good as Ripken. I think they'll be some steroid backlash to help Larkin since he's "clean"

  3. Tebow can't throw the ball more than 5 yards.
  4. And seriously, I don't even want to watch how it happened...what the [expletive]...ASSHOLES I mean, yeah, we can beat Bradley by 95 points and shut up the slack jawed yokels throughout the rest of the state about never playing them in their barns, but come March that Utah loss is going to succcccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
  5. It wasn't sarcasm or a putdown, it was simply an opinion. But looking pass the surface of McCoy's numbers suggest he hasn't been as good as a Heisman candidate should. McCoy season breaks down in three ways: 1: He was really good against the mediocre or cupcakes teams (ULM, UTEP, Kansas, A&M, Coloardo and Wyoming). 2: He was solid, at best, against solid teams (Missouri, UCF, and Texas Tech, even tho you could agrue he was only workmanlike against Tech). 3: Yards wise, he had his two worst games against both OU and OSU, two teams that were good enough to win, but fail to do so. I'm sorry, but McCoy has been good, but not Heisman worthy. If Ingram doesn't get (which, unless he plays against Floirida and dominates them) the award I would prefer it going to somebody like Toby Gerhart who has been a much needed and better player then both Ingram AND McCoy. But unfortunately people are falling over themselves becuase of McCoy's performance against a pretty awful A&M defense, and he'll get the award because he's Colt McCoy and not because of performance. In fact McCoy hasn't even been the best QB in the nation, a certain Houston QB has been better. I like McCoy, but he isn't getting the aaward based on merit, but based on personality, and charm. In other words, IMO, the Heisman has become the Gold Glove award of college football. An award that in the end, don't really have that much meaning. Cause teams that have the Heisman winner often loses the National Championship, which will be a problem for Texas and Colt McCoy when they see Alabama in Pasadena. Why is Alabama going to Pasadena?
  6. Yeesh, Paul has been less than good.
  7. 2 fouls.
  8. Haha you caught that too? I also caught the goal tending on Tisdale that they still haven't noticed wasn't an offensive foul on Utah. At least the scoreboard caught up.
  9. Demetri McCamey's favorite players are Deron Williams and Baron Davis because they were both former Illini guards ...
  10. Why are there TV timeouts if there are no commercialss?
  11. Use Yahoo's. I like it better anyway.
  12. It's actually a decent stream. Earlier in the day I tried watching Southern/Wofford and it was unwatchable.
  13. Roberto Alomar Bert Blyleven Barry Larkin Fred McGriff Mark McGwire Tim Raines Alan Trammell That's off the top of my head. Feel free to convince me otherwise.
  14. Well, they'd want them there over TCU or Boise, but it was more along the lines of an Andy/SEC post about Big East refs making horrible homer calls.
  15. source? a momentary lapse of reason from a premium rivals member. i don't know the rules about posting the name of the guy who originated the info, but it's solid. i happened to be on the board for the 2 minutes the info was up before it was pulled down. Nova's gonna have kittens over that. lol. There's also a rumor floating around that Jerrance has an in home today. Either way I'm glad this is going to be over soon. Isn't Price the lead recruiter on him? I wonder if Jerrance is playing the role of closer for some of these kids. If Price(or McClain) and Weber can sell everything about the program and how it will help them go to the next level, then Jerrance comes in to be a relatable(i.e. young) guy to show them they'll have somebody who's more than an authority figure.
  16. UConn's playing Duke today? Somebody should've mentioned that such a historic matchup would be taking place.
  17. NOOOOOOOOO You never had a chance. I don't buy that Kansas is out of it. I'm pretty confident if it's us vs. Florida, we'll get him.
  18. Somebody out there REALLY wants Cincinnati to have a chance at a title game. A couple laughable reviews/lack of reviews in this game along with a phantom late hit against Illinois. If we didn't suck so much, I might be pissed off.
  19. If Warner plays, you have to start him. Garcon over Hester Davis over anybody Cincy D over anybody Wells vs. TN Now for mine Pick 2(At least one must be a RB) Snelling, White, Mendenhall, Steve Smith(NYG)
  20. No talk about Tennessee's punk being let back on the team?
  21. Don't stop by Sherron's apartment elevator though. You'll see/feel a whole different experience in person.
  22. I can't find the article to verify but it certainly looks like an NCAA championship trophy and since that's their only one I would guess it is. I'd much rather enjoy Purdue's current athletics program's success than sit around thinking remember when they were good. Again, that's not the way NCAA Championship trophies looked back then. I'm not sure when that style of trophy first appeared, but it was sometime between 1953 and 1976. Either the NCAA retroactively issued championship trophies to Helm's winners (extremely doubtful) or Purdue commissioned the trophy itself. (Or it's not the 1932 trophy at all.) The trophies have since been redesigned. T-minus three posts before snood's visual evidence . . . Leave snood alone, he has to hurry up and post the trophies, before they're taken away from them.
  23. Huh, kenpom has another conference listed - The Great West. It's just 7 shitty former independents, what the hell is the point?
  24. you really need to get over this "everyone is out to get notre dame" thing. Andy can be paranoid, but it's David [expletive] Kaplan. Why is he a more reliable source than Schad?
  25. Haha, Oregon loses to Montana. Haha louder at the host guy calling Gottlieb a former ND star. He looked uncomfortable about that.
