  1. I still say relegation torpedoes teams like the Pirates and Royals for good.
  2. This leaves them 2 over in 2012. Delaney's not gonna like that. I'd be surprised if that's still the case two weeks from now. At least one transfer will happen this year, and with another after next season (seems to be the going rate around college basketball anymore) the scholly situation isn't nearly as dire as people make it out to be. Also, it's looking more and more like Jurkin will spend an extra year in prep school. Viewed through that lens, I'm sure Crean will be looking to sign 3-4 more players in the next year  Yep, he can just cut this kid when it comes time to sign the next class. And once you have Perrea signed, there's no need for Jurkin, so they can determine he won't be a good fit after prep school.
  3. This leaves them 2 over in 2012. Delaney's not gonna like that. Time for some spring Creaning! =D> Crean has also still been looking for a big for 2011. Not sure if that effort will continue now that Abell committed. Or maybe Tom is planning on cutting half the roster, I dunno. :-k Well he'd have to cut somebody in order to fit another kid in the '11 class.

  5. It's unlikely Wilpon was "fleeced" by Madoff. He knew what was going on.
  6. I didn't know it was possible to have not heard the Bonilla story.
  7. I don't care what's good for baseball, I care what's good for me.
  8. I wouldn't want to have to live in Philly either.
  9. There's something wrong with being contrarian all the time.
  10. I'm gonna need help as to how to fan up for that rally.
  11. They don't hold rallies for losing in the Eastern Conference Finals
  12. least favorite I've got work to do.
  13. Trying to put together another favorite poster tourney?
  14. It's true, they do have an insane amount of junkies in that city. Beautiful and fun town, but absolutely littered with junkies. runaways and street kids flock to that part of the continent. like a certain resident communist poster? The Decemberists wrote On the Bus Mall about Sulley.
  15. "If we win tonight, we'll probably still lose in 6" doesn't quite have the same effect as far as rallying the troops.
  16. QUITE FRANKLY that's all you need.
  17. Weren't we talking about individual games? Like Rose shooting 8% over the last 2?
  18. Luckily, it was Garza and not Zambrano. That could have gotten all kinds of ugly. Yeah, I remember when he burnt down Aurora following game 2 of the NLDS.
  19. If he's talented and doesn't bother anyone, his future employers won't care that he's a gun-toting birther. Carl Everett played til he was 35 and he sucked his last 3 years in the majors.
  20. At least Westbrook actually made some of his shots.
  21. I'd rather face ATL after 5 than ORL after 7.
  22. I'm not worried about game 7 because we played our best game on Sunday and lost... Wait.
