    Glad I can get both my mom and Ken Rosenthal's takes on the trade in one place. Rosenthal's articles are now being posted on his facebook page because foxsports.com no longer posts articles, going 100% video, because they wanted to isolate the one thing I hate most about visiting a sports site.

    I remember sneaky trying to convince me that Travis Wood was really, really good at HR prevention. I'm still skeptical that it is a long-term skill instead of simple variance. Are you saying it isn't a long-term skill for anyone, or just that his doesn't align with his K/BB? Additionally, he is 5th in the AL at BB/9 this year, with his ERA just barely outperforming his FIP this year. He had an anemic HR rate in the minors as well.

    Seems relevant that the 3 OFs with the most PAs for their High A team have OPSes of .691, .664, and .482 Tebow's old team's are .676, .657, and .648(Tebow)

    Would you have done Butler for no 3? A few days ago I said I'd go as far as the 3, the LAL/SAC pick, Crowder, and Smart. Apparently any one of those things would've been enough?

    The Pacers would be better off keeping George and their pick than doing that ETA: Butler is nominally the more valuable asset thanks to his extra year of control, but he's not so much more valuable to get a true value pick, plus one better than anything the Pacers get, plus the only player of value being given up by the Lakers. Ultimately the Lakers are running away with that trade.
