The St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers have won championships in the last year, I fully expect IU to win the BTT and go to a Final 4. Define in the last year.

theus is certainly the anti-weber. i'd be ok with him, especially if he brought parker with him. Would you be OK with him if he didn't bring Parker? Because he seems like something of an unknown and Parker seems like a one and done to me. He's pretty popular down here in NM, but there's not a whole lot of track record to go on. He was decent enough with the Kings. There's just not much there to go off of. I wouldn't be thrilled with it, but wouldn't hate it like it's Hewitt.

On the contrary, I think that works perfectly to committee standards. Less travel for Asheville, favorable environment yet for North Carolina, and not a rematch. Yep, I know they've done something similar in the past. Kentucky-E. Kentucky comes to mind.

That's a tough break for a senior on a team that is going to the tournament when they've been bad for his entire career. Not to mention a tough break for any team facing Indiana the rest of the season.

What a shameful comparison. -Daddy death threat is a vile human being. -Bill Richmond just never reeled in his kid when he should've at a young age. -I've seen nothing from Sonny Parker to show him to be less than on the level.

They might like him a lot, but they also really like Romar. He's not going there either. He's going to Duke. Now? Probably them or Michigan State. Before, I think he was Illinois's to lose, and we lost him with this abomination of a conference season.

What has to be killing you guys, is that Illinois fans will barely care if we lose. I mean yeah, losing to Iowa is a fate worse than death (though not as bad as losing to IU), but there are positive consequences to losing today (possibly no postseason, meaning the new coach can get in earlier) Is it a foregone conclusion that Parker isn't coming to Illinois? Seems like all U of I fans can't wait to get rid of Weber, but firing him would seem to greatly reduce the chances of getting Parker. Why if we retained Howard would it hurt our chances with Parker? Weber is a terrible recruiter. He whiffed on the entire '08 class FFS. He couldn't give away scholarships until JH showed up. I think all this is is an excuse for the Parkers to go elsewhere. I don't think he was ever coming here. The Parkers genuinely liked Weber, and as I said upthread, I'm convinced he would've came if they were good this year. The new coach has to not only establish a quick bond, but also get the team playing like they should in a hurry

It's a pointless thing to go to bat for, but I like MS Valley State a lot more than Norfolk. The Tourney once again put only one HBC in the opening round, so I guess we should stick to that. Other than upsets in pending conference tourneys, there's no reason we can't at least fill in the 15/16 lines right? ETA Strike that, I liked MS Valley over Savannah. Norfolk actually beat Drexel, and lost by 2 to Marquette.
