  1. How many of those were bunt hits?
  2. I just want to say that it's really [expletive] weird for any Illinois fan to still love Bill Self when he coached there for 3 years, has been gone for 9, and his move to Kansas cost us several recruits through the years.
  3. I contend that Indiana smells like poop. Case closed.
  4. I contend that Indiana smells like poop.
  5. I'd argue that Crean's terrible coaching job last year made people(including myself) think Indiana was a lot worse than they actually were.
  6. probably, but i'm still going to do it anyway; Beilein (co-)won the conference with a 6'4" PF! Considering just conference play: Indiana beat expectations the most, but didn't win the conference. Of the 3 teams that won the conference, Michigan State beat expectations the most. Of the 3 teams that won the conference, Michigan probably had the least talent. Looking back on it, I could see it easily going to each of those three coaches. Just depends on which criteria you like better. When you consider non-conference play though, Crean IMO would be a clear favorite, so he should be the best candidate from the Big 10 for the national COY. lol
  7. Utah is so bad that he gives them a worse chance to win a terrible Pac-12 than he gives DePaul to win 5 games(including one vs Syracuse in MSG) to win the Big East.
  8. Confident they'll beat Wisconsin? Ah crap, I was thinking they would play MSU second. No, not confident they'll beat Bucky, but it will be a de facto home game for the Hoosiers. Should've noted, Indiana gets half home-court advantage credit in the calculations.

  11. Although I do have a really difficult time endorsing Frank [expletive] Haith as a coach of the year, so I guess I'd just vote for Billy Tubbs.
  12. NO MORE RPI EVER http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZCtfNp-ZmiA/ThMTFxfbThI/AAAAAAAADZQ/VJHxpIjRXkg/s400/Mommie_Dearest.jpg
  13. I sound butt hurt because I'm...right? Kansas had one starter returning and lost arguably their three best players. They were 13th in the preseason Top 25 and will finish with a #1 seed in the tournament. It's not an egregious pick by any means. Compared to Iowa State and Missouri it certainly is(assuming we're using the standard COTY definition of most overachieving team)
  14. Not that I wouldn't do that deal, but who's our backup center after that trade? Hedo by default. FWIW the NBA Trade Machine says that deal is not doable. It didn't say why, though. The numbers seem close. I tried several variations and couldn't find one it would accept. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine Worked fine for me.
  15. Well, they have been in discussions to trade him multiple times in the last year (and they almost did it for Josh McRoberts and a 1st rounder), and the thought is that they are going to lose him this summer. So he's definitely a candidate to get traded, but they will have to get something back that can help them beyond this season to be worth it to them. We dont have anything to give them that would help them beyond this year. Our best bet is to get a guy a bad team wants to just dump because he serves no purpose for them. Like Ben Gordon. And then you still have to dump Korver and Brewer in the trade along with taking on Gordon's bloated contract for the next 2 years.
  16. Shouldn't somebody point out that Mayo is the 6th man on the 5th seed in the West before they try trading Ronnie Brewer for him?
  17. Doesn't the Big East have like 17 guys on their 1st team?
  18. i don't think it is. never bunting is just as bad as bunting too much. the threat of the bunt can open up wholes in the infield and if they play too far back we need to take advantage. this isn't some meathead rant, it's game theory and it can be very advantageous. Yep, that's what he said. Never, ever bunt.
  19. Holy hell that's awful. Try watching Victor Oladipo every time he catches the ball.
  20. Why would Theo turn down Sandberg because of who he is?
  21. He was involved in some Phillies trade at some time. The Freddy Garcia deal maybe? ETA: Daniel Haigwood and then Matt Stairs?? Why does this stupid [expletive] stick in my head?
  22. a bum apparently But not da bum :(
  23. I'M NOT KELVIN SAMPSON
