  1. That's 6.5 wins better than our current corner combo. I'll take the under on that difference this year.
  2. Who has said otherwise?
  3. Yeah, I hate you too. It's [expletive] Christmas morning.
  4. Being one and done had nothing to do with why UNC and others stopped recruiting him.
  5. You're insane if you think Theo left his hometown to come suck on purpose for 4 years.
  6. Up until 10 minutes ago, I thought Valbuena was a Padre.
  7. So...then DeWitt won't? They are pretty redundant. That said, who am I missing here? Clevenger, Baker, Johnson, and likely Mather are all locks, and DeWitt and Campana are fighting for a spot. Even with Valbuena, that's a 7 man bench, and the only other people who could conceivably make the team are long shots like Sappelt, Cardenas, Amezaga, and Gonzalez(and I'm pretty sure those guys got sent to minor league camp already). It looks like they all make it. Eh??? There should be 6 guys on the bench, not 7.
  8. yay six man pen I wonder if the Cubs are the only team in the league with only 6? I know a couple years ago there was maybe only 1 team doing it. I am happy with it as well, but I'd be surprised if the Cubs haven't gone up to 7 by the end of May, and it will probably be before that. I feel like there's usually a handful that start the year with 6 due to the early off days.
  9. They have one room just to house Kenney's shoes.
  10. Theo's first attempt at a Stacey King catchphrase would go on to fall quite flat.
  11. As bad as this team's going to be, I don't think that will look all that out of place by the end of the year. Once Ian Stewart gets going, the RF bleachers will be THE destination in Wrigley.
  12. I almost want them to do it in LF too I would bet heavily that is what they do. Is there enough demand for private parties to sell both sections for 300 people at a minimum of 50/group? I think it'd make more sense to sell them the way they sell the area behind home plate.
  13. I'm not sure the Bulls beat the Celtics/Magic/Hawks/Pacers 4/5 seed mess without 100% Rose.
  14. So is the DirectTV thing only for non-Chicago people? Anyone know how this would affect a bar that uses DirectTV for their cable?
  15. Are you disputing that stars and scrubs are better built for playoffs than a team that goes 10 deep?
  16. Quick look for 2011 Masters had Tiger as a slim favorite at +705 with Phil at +750 and the next group at +1415. ETA: Makes sense that they ran with the odds now that he has his first win in 3 years and the average bettor thinks he's back.
  17. Hasn't Woods had absurd odds over the past couple years considering how shitty he's played?
  18. My point is I heard this same crap about Hendry dealing with Billy Beane, you shouldn't be leery of dealing with any GM, especially when you consider AA has never really made a "buy" trade in his tenure.
  19. College basketball contracts are negotiated through the conference. A Reds network couldn't broadcast any of those teams.
