  1. I know that trades have been an open secret in years past, yet still unannounced. Are they holding out even further or is this just a boring no-trade night?
  2. The '85 Bears might outscore them
  3. Pretty sad that this was Indiana's biggest accomplishment this year. They won the Big Ten title outright. The NCAA Tournament isn't the only thing that matters. You should hang a banner
  4. Or because he's a Tom Crean coached big man.
  5. I liked Noel and McLemore best in this draft and they don't go top 5.
  6. The only other team in the division I don't hate are the Pirates. The rest are all loathsome to varying degrees. Heh, reply fail. I was talking about the Pirates. I saw goony's hating on them, jumped to this thread, and read the Brewer hate as Pirate hate.
  7. You guys are brutal. They're competing with the 2 most loathsome teams in the NL. Enemy of my enemy and so forth
  8. NBA trades are a nightmare to figure out, but I'd have to think trading Pierce and Garnett separately would bring a better return. I just hate acquiring draft picks from good teams. It's a waste.
  9. Yeah I don't know. I don't think it gets them much closer to a championship. I think it would be a stupid trade for Brooklyn. I don't think they have a great chance of a championship even if they do it, but it's pretty much the only chance they have. No one if taking on that Wallace contract without major compensation, and they're already capped out from adding any other significant talent. Pierce and Garnett are major upgrades from Wallace and Humphries, even if it's only for 1 year (Wallace in particular was terrible last year). It just depends on if the ability to go for it is worth 3 first round picks or not. First round picks in the 20s are near worthless. That 3rd one could be valuable I guess.(assuming they're '13, '15, '17)
  10. I don't see why Tunney should/would even be an obstacle if the mayor if supportive. Maybe, and maybe this is all just a tantrum Tunney's trying to throw to save face before the Cubs get their way. On the other hand though, the process has already missed multiple deadlines by months that are now pushing the project and its revenues full seasons further out than originally thought. At a certain point I'd have to think they'd be justified in going to Rahm and pointing out what a lunatic Tunney is being, and trying to work with him on an alternate city location, lest they take the Wrigley experience to one of the willing suburbs. Maybe Rahm tells them it's Wrigleyville or bust, but it'd be nice if even a fake rumor floated that possibility, if only for my own sanity. Well, there was the Tinley Park story, if that helps you. Their mayor was a counselor at my high school. Kind of an idiot.
  11. Sounds unreliable
  12. Something something Kevin Love
  13. Seriously annoying
  14. It was at Pony Inn like an hour ago. I think #cuptracker is trending on twitter right now It was at Scout prior to that. #helpful
  15. viewtopic.php?f=44&t=61919&p=2945602&hilit=jordan#p2945602 This is the only post I can find within the past few months where I brought up Jordan, rather than responding to some dumbass canonizing of him.
  16. We can probably get some really good complementary pieces, so let's purposely take a guy who sucks as the centerpiece
  17. Which is as silly as it gets. Lebron is a physical specimen, and the 2012-2013 season set the record for fewest free throw attempts per team EVER in a non-strike-shortened season. But yeah, every touch foul gives you 2 freebies now apparently.
  18. I think they are finding fault in him in that he played like absolute dog [expletive] until about 3ish minutes left in the 3rd quarter. More than half the game he was terrible. But it's also impressive he accumulated the majority of those stats in about 3 minutes in the 3rd and the entire 4th/ot I seem to recall him being criticized for doing the exact opposite several times as well. Oh yeah, Lebron rack up those meaningless stats in the first 38 minutes, but where were you from 9:15-3:48 in the 4th???
  19. http://i.imgur.com/B8Aar64.png Says the guy 3 Finals appearances behind Lebron
  20. They certainly didn't own the OT
  21. Easily the draft pick in that scenario. Really? Obviously, you know a lot more about these things than I do, but I can't imagine that a 20 year old who was viewed as one of the top young commodities not to long ago could have fallen far enough that a lottery ticket would be a more desireable option. Believe. I have more hopes for Geiger than Starling. Even with this in mind, if he were the centerpiece in a package for DeJesus and Feldman, I can't imagine that Theo would pass it up. Even accepting he's worse than Dustin Geiger, you'd take him back as a centerpiece for 2 of our most tradable assets. Bukie, you're needed here.
