  1. Michael wouldn't have done that.
  2. It's been a long time, but I don't remember everyone other than Jordan playing like [expletive] for most of the first 3 rounds of the playoffs. They were taken to 7 games against the Pacers in the ECF as well. They also needed overtime to beat a team coached by John Calipari and have the exact same playoff record heading into the Finals as the Heat do. But there I go comparing Michael Jordan to Udonis Haslem again.
  3. That just shows how bad the NBA is these days.
  4. How do you write those 2 thoughts consecutively? Somebody better tell Pops to stop playing Leonard and Green so much. They had the best record in the NBA last year. They were one game off from the best record in the NBA in '11. They've been a 3 seed or better every year but one since their title. I move that your contention stinks and is ugly. K, did that make them younger? How could they have been in decline they kept winning championships in the hardest era any professional sport has ever seen. Did I say anything about comparing Jordan to a Spur?(Even the ANCIENT 30 year old Tony Parker)
  5. Average age of guys getting more than 20 MPG = 29.125, a full 3 years younger than the Bulls of 97-98 and younger than titles 4-6 for the Bulls.
  6. Don't suppose Old Style considered the '98 Bulls very beatable.
  7. He has no idea what he has in Villanueva and views him as a mopup/garbage man and it's maddening. He could be one of the most valuable (WPA) pitchers in baseball, instead he faces about 4 batters per week.
  8. But this wasn't a Rosario situation. They claimed him, added him, optioned him, DFAd him. In the end it will almost certainly make no difference, but is Parker that much better a bet than Burnett to expose him to waivers?
  9. When you have 21 innings out of the bullpen to look to instead
  10. I get that it's fun to tell Kyle he's wrong, but might you wait more than 1 start and 80 professional innings for (annoyingly) haw hawing about a Cards prospect on a Cubs board?
  11. If you think you'll get a lesser return 3 weeks later that's one thing, but trading a guy because he might tear his labrum over his next 4 starts is lame.
  12. Never entered my mind that Illinois would be in the tourney.
  13. Pretty sure our same friend was bitching about Ransom's side of the platoon, too. Where is that guy to enjoy this glorious 7-0 lead?
  14. Hey, Keith the Cubs are up to 3rd in the NL in HRs now. I'm sure you know who's in 1st. "It's gotta be the Cardinals." No, Keith. It's not the team that's 3rd from last in HRs.
  15. I never cared much for chemistry
  16. Yes, and this conversation in 3 years will be laughable.
  17. The Marlins are like 18 games worse
  18. First Heat player caught flopping. Along with 18 other teams who had no warnings issued.
  19. Former Cubs prospect, Robert Coello
  20. I don't think he's much as an instructor
