Curious as to why you think the USC job is better than A&M at this time. USC is in the argument of best jobs in college football. Best program and among the most historically successful. A and M is not in these arguments. Also this is the perfect time to be USCs coach because he would be given time to succeed. If Johnny football leaves a and m might struggle. A&M's loss will be the Texans' gain.

You think most fans don't understand that? That's kind of the point of my entire statement earlier, which is that it sucks that the majority of the state's football resources and talent can't be pooled into one program because then maybe we'd be able to get BCS Bowl's and Conference Championships on occasion, whereas now there is little hope of that. I'm going to write an angry letter to my congressman that Illinois doesn't get to split up all the state's football players

Yeah but half or even more than half the players on OU and OK State come from Texas, arguably the best football state, and with 26 million people. Do buses not run from Mississippi to Texas?

Not much worse than Nebraska, and certainly better than Kansas State. The Oklahomas have maybe a million more people, but they also have Texas as a neighboring state. Oregon has 2 schools and is in a terrible football state. You've been pushing this excuse for years. It's bunk. You must be shocked that Syracuse's football has sucked forever

Was just reading their SBN site where the debate was whether they could get Samardzija without including Sanchez or Stroman. Given what's transpired so far this offseason, I'm wondering what piece of significance they'd need to add to Sanchez and Stroman. But I agree, they have lots of interesting pieces, but it seems unlikely that I'd be super excited about the return. Not as bad as the Nationals, but no Arizona or Kansas City in terms of potential matches. I don't know if JaysJournal is their SBN site, but their article on it was hilarious. After like 1,000 words on it, he decided on RHP Kyle Drabek, OF Anthony Gose, LHP Sean Nolin, LHP Daniel Norris, LHP Tyler Ybarra, SS Richard Urena for Samardzija. I can't imagine a scenario where I'm happy with the return from the Blue Jays -
Yeah, left him out. And that's why I'm curious to see what happens w/Abrams, because while he is a senior, it's hard to imagine him getting the bulk of the PT at the point guard position with Starks added to the mix, and we've got shooting guards out the wazoo. I'm not saying he'll be anchored to the bench or anything, but he's either gonna lose quite a bit of time or Groce is going to have get creative. It depends on what kind of lineup Groce runs out there. Assuming Paul and Black play the 4, you've only got 7 guys for 3 guard positions. I imagine you'll have 2 PGs on the court at all times.
