  1. If I looked like tom crean I'd avoid mirrors at all costs
  2. I imagine you could beat the 2nd or 3rd baseman back to the back pretty easily after you deck them
  3. TonyLaRussaZombie.jpeg
  4. I don't think he's even visited us. UK or UI, right? He has offers from all 5, but yeah that's what I'm thinking. Here was some guy I've never heard of tweeted predicting Marquette, but the national and local guys all seem to be shocked at the timing. Pretty quiet.
  5. Charles Matthews announcing tomorrow. That came out of nowhere. Lists UI, KU, UK, MSU, and Marquette
  6. Olt is hoping he's like a cartoon character with amnesia. He just needs to be hit by another baseball to regain his vision
  7. It's stupid that fans get pissy when boras tells the truth about billionaires hording money
  8. Hendricks came in at #46 last year
  9. Check's in the mail wexy
  10. Carlos Rodriguez? David garner? You're just making guys up
  11. Jackson is still eligible. Not only was he awful last year, his numbers (both primary and peripheral too a step backwards in 2012) I was burnt by davell already for a random proclamation on Vitters but I'll do it again and say 40ish because he can still presumably can still play cf
  12. It's irrelevant to me. Especially after 7 years in the system. How long dose he get to live on his pedigree? plz look up how many prospects in the system had 100+ AB's and a higher ISO than Vitters. (hint - not many) (it was three) (Two were Baez and Bryant) lmao it was 110 at bats, who cares It was .007 higher than his 2012 Eta: that's strictly AAA numbers, if you're including his full 2013 season then he hit for more power over a near full season in '12
  13. Haven't the Cubs picked up a dozen or so such players in the last few years? They do it for the need of a body, not actually belief in a prospect. Teams are dumping one body for another because of a need for a body? This isn't signing Lars Anderson to stand at first bar in Iowa for 6 months
  14. No, basically my point is. No team with good players would give them legitimate chances to be everyday or probably even platoon players. Which I believe would prevent people from thinking they are the 10th and 15th best prospect in a good minor league system. They both would be written off as 4A players in an organization with a good ML team. Those are not top 15 type talents. I'd imagine either one would be claimed by most teams if DFAd tomorrow I don't get what that has to do with it. Considering the garbage that gets picked up by every team from time to time that isn't a statement about their value as prospects. An organization who picked them up wouldn't be writing them off as AAAA players
  15. Oh come on. The one person with something to gain by this story is Ricketts, who can pretend he didn't want to cut down on payroll but did so unwillingly as a part of the sale agreement. And has nevertheless denied the sale agreement limiting them every time it's been brought up publicly (as has Kenney). So they were lying every other time but this time it counts Yeah, that's what I said. Why did they deny it before? What's changed?

  17. Last I heard the cubs were offering 5/55, and even if you're being charitable and saying there buying out his last 2 arb years you've got 3/40 for 3 FA years which isn't remotely close

  19. Not too long ago, didn't you say you didn't care about Vitters and probably liked Szczur more than him? Eh not quite. It was more an off the cuff remark bout Vitters bring outside my top 20. Looking further into it I see a bunch of live arms and hitters who have done nothing.
  20. Dillon Maples is Ron Powlus
  21. Can we please get Vitters out of the green room?
  22. Havent they been renovating it?
  23. I think it's the pick and yes it's very frustrating. It's difficult to even blame this on #poortomricketts considering hammel and Bonifacio will be ~8.5m
  24. Don't worry I wouldn't care about Iowa if we were good either
  25. Whether you particularly like Bailey or not seems to be secondary to the fact that it's one less starting pitcher on the FA market when were supposedly going to spend money supply-demand and all.
