Finally the SEC will accept Vandy as one of their own.

Apparently not to the Angels who had a trade in place for him with Dan Haren coming to the Cubs. The Cubs backed out because they didn't like Haren's medicals. Haren was bad last year, but had a team option that the Cubs could've declined, saving them Marmol's dumbass 9.8M contract.

Huh? Hmm, thought he'd been starting LF, but I guess he's been in CF for all his OF starts, and Sweeney alongside him only the one time.

Marmol was essentially released, and had some value that offseason(or in the least could've been dumped for Haren, only to NT Haren and get out from his contract.)
