    I'm guessing 13 man staff will be around until Villanueva cycles into the pen in favor of Arrieta rather than have essentially an 11 man staff for those 3 days. After that...Vitters?

    How could they be on any terms at all, aside from Ricketts judging him from afar. Sosa left in 2004 and his contract ended in 2005. Ricketts wasn't even in negotiations to buy the team then. Unless Sammy banged his wife. I would...but only in an attempt to McCourt the team out of his control

    If the offseason, the cubs sign Mike Adams and Koji Uehara, maybe take a flier on Joakim Soria, it's easy to imagine this bullpen being in much better shape next year. That'll be fine as long as you don't mind Arrieta, Hendricks, Rusin as our 3-4-5 to go with the worst starting OF in baseball again

    I considered going for the jersey but upon further reflection realized it would probably be huge and any 30,000 other people would have the same jersey as me making me look like a tool whenever I'd wear it to a game

    If Arrieta has options, I'm fine just leaving him in the minors and calling up Wada before his inevitable opt-out kicks in.

    LOL Baez will put up a line like .080/.120/.500 in his first 50 MLB PAs. Baez does whatever the [expletive] he wants including putting up impossible BA/SLG ratios. He'll be the only person in baseball history to average 6 TB/H. I really want to see Brian McCann's face as he rounds home.

    I'm kinda in Kyle's camp on this one. Who knows how many bullets he has? Let's use them in the majors instead of the minors. Does it really matter? You're firing bullets on a shooting range or firing them in the air in the middle of a field.
