  1. Is this a bigger shock than McDermott leaving Iowa State for Creighton? Mizzou is a better job than ISU and Creighton is a better job than Tulsa
  2. I want a [expletive] corn muffin right [expletive] now. Wonder if I'm still in their delivery range.
  3. Who cares about variety, I'd ratter eat town anchors ribs than anything on smoque's menu. (Not to say smoque is bad)
  4. Damn that IS twin anchors, I guess there aren't any buildings get big in buck town so that didn't really make sense but I couldn't get the south loop design of the apt out of my head. I guess it's not much different than old town high rises
  5. woah he spent the night with ssr Don't get too comfortable with that suitcase Kalish
  6. Area is too populated to be looking south. Is that an expressway 3 miles or so in the distance? Buck town?
  7. Shouldn't that be #PTR on the left? Nobody needs to see that.
  8. I believe he could handle that, maybe even sooner. But the organization will want to leave open the option of keeping him down through May of next year, or whatever date it is, to extend their control over his prime years. I'm almost certain that's the case. I'd be shocked to see him in the majors this year. If he kills AAA for 4 months, it's tough to reason why he's breaking camp in Iowa next year.
  9. Didn't BCB used to be all sunshine, lollipops and rainbows?
  10. Leverage. Bruce Weber still wound up with the KSU job after getting fired, but he almost certainly would've received a better contract if he jumped for OU when Kruger did(If they were actually interested in him)
  11. It would be pretty embarrassing for Mizzou to lose a coach to Tulsa. So far this calendar year Mizzou has taken "X would be embarrassing" to be a dare instead of a caution, so nothing really is surprising anymore. Didn't think they could top "joining the SEC"
  12. It would be pretty embarrassing for Mizzou to lose a coach to Tulsa. Yeah, it wouldn't be good and would portend that bad things are on the horizon. Maybe you could get Matt Painter this time around now that Purdue hates him.
  13. Bonifacio is going to hit his career OPS of 667 by the end of this week.
  14. Jokes on you, he just ran out of Reddi Whip and happens to be carrying his tupperware.
  15. We don't play that many interleague games Andy
  16. Yeah re-reading it, I guess you're right. Still doesn't make sense why Rosscup wasn't active for the first game. But it's very screwy if that's the interpretation that just the night game had to be scheduled 48 hours in advance. So if today was a 12:05 scheduled start, you couldn't use a 26th man? What the hell is the logic in that?
  17. What does the bold mean? That's a really odd way to put that. I'd guess it prevents them from scheduling a night game to complete the double header on days where there's a day game on the schedule already. That doesn't really make any sense and I can't imagine that this situation would ever come up. It seems pretty clear to me what it's saying. If the doubleheader was shceduled for a month from now you can use a 26th man, if it's a case like today's DH you can't. Assuming the basis for this is, so no one team is at a disadvantage should their AAA team be on the other side of the country with 12 hours to get the guy into town. I'm guessing Blake Parker got sent down and whoever reported it is off. It doesn't make sense for Rosscup to only be on the roster for the 2nd game. ETA: Muskat is the only one I see reporting it, so it's almost certainly wrong in some way.
  18. I agree that all of what he's saying is ridiculous...that said, I wouldn't go quite that far. Of all three being long term starters for the Cubs? I don't think it's that much of a stretch. I'm pretty sure those 3 have a better than 0% chance of becoming starting big league outfielders.
  19. This isn't the butt-sniffing music thread.
