  1. Oooooooo, I didn't hear about Sammy attacking an employee. When was this? I mean, it's largely been swept under the rug, but Sammy did worse. ????? smashing a bottle of rum over his wife's head or whatever and threatening to kill her i should've said allegedly did though Ya think?

  3. I always thought that girl was so sexy, even with her early 90's hairdo. Her smile in the scene where she makes the hockey goal is hot. and then she lost 30 pounds I'd still bend her over and show her the 50 states
  4. I'd honestly rather never him involved with the team again than see a forced made up apology to appease the idiots. Anybody, whether it be Ricketts, Kenney, Theo, the media, any fan, who thinks Sammy owes them anything resembling an apology can eat a bag of schlongs. I was debating the same sentiment. As embarrassing as it is to not acknowledge him, it wouldn't be as embarrassing as making Sosa come back though the supplicant doggy door. Let PTR own this embarrassment if it's how he wants to act
  5. I'd rather the Cubs apologize to Sosa
  6. Truffle, I don't think they'll stretch it as far as an estimated super 2 cutoff, all they'd need to do is keep him down until late April next year
  7. I guess I don't understand when is a good time to bring back Sosa then. Any time they bring him back will be a PR event, and any groveling and apologizing and whatever other dumb [expletive] they're requiring isn't going to make a difference to the type of people that would boo him anyway, so what the [expletive] is the point?
  8. That's about all I'd be willing to pay for him too. He has been miserable the last two years and barely played over 100 games in 2012. He's also definitely a corner outfielder at this point. There is at least some double if not triple counting going on on this post
  9. I'm pretty sure PTR went public with the need for Sosa to grovel before him long before any 100 year celebration.
  10. Well we can all agree if it's for some dumb ass reason
  11. We'd probably have to toss in a top 10 in baseball talent like Alcantara to secure a stud like Arrieta
  12. By this logic, if his ERA were 5.75 but he was 7-1 winning a ton of 8-6 games, he would be more valuable. Genius. Welcome to the HOF candidacy of Jack Morris. Jack Morris' postseasons are what push him into the HOF in my mind. That 10 inning shutout along with Kerry's 20 strikeout game are the best pitched games I've ever watched. By postseasons I assume you mean postseason and by postseason I mean single postseason game
  13. K rates? Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhut it. Braun: 17.9% Longoria: 18.1% Bryant: 28.0% which is a full 0.5% better than Brandon Wood's age 21 season
  14. I'm no longer bitter about the Soz' success in 2005, but I still harbor an irrational hatred of Reinsdorf. There's nothing irrational about it
  15. They're capable of coming back from 3-1, but they've just looked like utter garbage, that I'm really struggling to see it.
  16. Bonifacio's line since May 1 is .205/.233/.289. Ask him if those numbers are also deceptive. He said all that matters in the end is what their totals are. I'd take that bet. Well considering Castro has a .105 lead in OPS right now
  17. "A sense that we're ready to start winning in a year or 2" will never ever attract a FA.
  18. I know it's being discussed in the gam thread, but I think Shark can be convinced to stay once he sees Javy and KB producing in the majors. That's one hell of a risk to take. And I don't think we're willing to pay him what he'd get on the open market which is what you'd have to do to sign him next summer or later
  19. Am I the only one that doesn't get the Petit = former cubs legend?
  20. Above all else let's make sure we keep 13 guys on our pitching staff
