    he could be traded as PTBNL Yes in the mythical scenario that never happens because teams don't want elite prospects, especially pitchers throwing under the guidance of another teams coaching staff He would be a PTBNL for all of a day or two so this doesn't come into play at all. Well it doesn't come into play at all because the Rockies aren't trading Jonathan Gray. Did not remember the Pomeranz trade btw

    Yeah, a pick just got traded for Bryan Morris. I think the consensus is that the Marlins way overpaid, but still they don't have that much value.

    Severely understaffed; basically no cops want to work in this area and take every opportunity to transfer out once they can. That's just because they stopped letting them [expletive] drunk girls they pick up. And the station is on Addison. I know because I had to stop there after I got mugged outside my old apartment...a block south of Wrigley.

    How can they win that? EA purposely didn't use any real names in their NCAA titles, and the "likenesses" are generally generic cartoon people. Maybe the handful of players who were on the covers of the games might get something, but Mr. Left Guard On Louisiana-Lafayette deserves nothing Well, when height, weight, ethnicity and number all match the guy who played that position for that team in that year, it becomes patently obvious what they did. Combined with the fact that you could go out and buy a download to populate all the names to what they actually were and they have a great case. The download has nothing to do with it because it wasn't coming from EA, but yeah, the fact that the Duke PG just happened to have the same skillset as their PG that year along with his physical features, uhhh yeah, you're selling that guy's image. And to Derwood, the guys on those covers were always guys who were done with their NCAA eligibility one way or another.

    Arbitrary endpoints are fun. What if you slice it to include today's game. Or the games right before that 3-6. You introduced the "pythag holds true no matter how you slice it" idea. It doesn't. The back and forth on this is silly because nobody thinks the team without the inevitable sell-off is a 59 win team or an 83 win team. Pythag may be more predictive than actual record after ~40 games, but that doesn't mean it's a great predictive tool. Our pythag projection dropped from 83 to 75 wins in the span of 7 games.

    Except that's not really what anyone's saying. Just that they aren't as bad as their W-L record, because their Pythag was both significantly better and more predictive. That's what Kyle literally just said.
