  1. It's almost certainly passed You're right. For some reason, I was thinking mid-July rather than mid-June. It varies year to year based on the top 17%, but it would seem a safe bet that less than 2.5 years won't qualify as super 2.
  2. Damn was hoping that was Brooklyn's pick
  3. I like both of those things. And the fact that they haven't named anything coming back from Boston makes me think it won't be one of the 2 useful pieces Boston has.
  4. I was counting on Ruggiano being the only competent OF next April. Though I guess if Alcantara is there, that might work instead.
  5. In place of who? ETA: Nevermind, looked at BR, it appears we have roughly 8 position players on our roster right now ETA: Wait we've done this for like 2 months. I retract my retraction.
  6. Yes, I'm sure the Bulls would be interested in that deal.
  7. TIL Mojo is an old [expletive] man
  8. It's not fair that they don't even let Indiana vote in the final vote.
  9. What would Kyle do if he had a million dollars? Pretty much the same thing I do now. Junior Lake or dead Kate Upton with Mike Olt's upper body.
  10. Amaro's thought processes should be considered the same way Kevin Towers's are.
  11. None of those guys hit like Bryant, and Longoria was pretty clearly kept down until he'd agree to a contract.
  12. Yeah, Kyle, I'm sure most franchises would've let Bryant rub his dick all over Kane County for a year.
  13. 130 ABs, so...it depends. Unless he gets called up by July 18th.
  14. Aramis/Garza/Gomez/Lucroy's All-Star campaign
  15. assuming we don't go on some miracle run, i think i'm gonna root for them and the A's again this year Brewers/Bucs NLCS
  16. Javy would have a similar stat line to Mike Olt if he started in the majors. Unlike Olt, he has the talent to adjust, but I don't think anyone can say for certain whether starting him in the majors this year would have been good or bad for his development. I highly doubt it would have helped the major league team, though. It might have helped the 2015 team, though.
  17. yes, this. his approach is already good. if he gets injured, he can do in chicago. there's also no need to worry about service time, either. So nobody thinks we keep him down until we're past super 2, to delay his opting out by 1 year? shouldn't super 2 thing have ended in June at some point? Unless he still qualifies as one of the 17% I meant in 2015
  18. trout is insanely fast though Relies mostly on his speed
  19. Closest I could find - Royals in 2011: 8. Hosmer, 9. Moustakas, 10. Myers Rays in 2008: 2. Longoria, 10. Price, 15. McGee, 18. Davis I saw a few instances of two on the top 5. http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/prospects/rankings/top-100-prospects/all-time yeah, those systems were a couple that came to mind. watch almora, soler, and schwarber keep raking and we end up with like 6 top 50 (alcantara graduating). almora and soler top 25 or so (so 5 top 25). really doesn't seem all that far fetched. I don't expect Alcantara to graduate.
  20. i don't see why baez would definitely have been up; he has an immature swing-from-the-heels approach and has traditionally struggled each time he is introduced to a new level. Perchance they'd want him to get those struggles at the majors taken care of.
